Buying computers

Featured Replies

What reputable places are there on Samui where I can buy a laptop computer? Are prices reasonable? Should I just wait til I get back to Bangkok to get one?

J. I. B across street from Makro, Chaweng, same prize as BKK.

Banana IT down the hills close to Tesco, but the sales girls there cannot tell the difference between ROM and RAM...

Then you have the apple store outside Tesco if you think a bit is more than a byte.

For best prize... www.invadeIT.com

J.I.B. also have a store in Central Festival in Chaweng – same, same...

The last two computers I have helped people buy have been from PowerBuy, in Central... service and knowledge depends on the salesperson one gets.... But we were fortunate both times to have someone who knows a little bit....thumbsup.gif

I refuse to buy from JIB because they have a floating credit card charge ... more if a foreign card and varies as to whether Platinum or basic no frills card.... Best to ask first if they have changed that policy...they are the only store that still does it.... sad.png (BananaIT used to but I think have stopped now.... )....
