Oversized Playing Cards

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a shop in Bangkok where I can buy a couple of sets of oversize playing cards. Like the ones magicians use. Thanks.

Not sure if you are aware but cards are not something that most people have as those having will be suspected gamblers - recent news reports indicate even ownership of more that 120 may be illegal. They are not treated as 'play' cards.

I saw playing cards which were the size of an iPad (approx 24 X 18 cm) in a toy shop in MBK some time ago. The box had magic symbols on it and being sold as magicians cards, not playing cards.

I had entered MBK from the Skytrain, through the Tokyu clothing department and the toy shop was on the same level and close by on the right hand side.

Hi LB3 I'm fully aware that gambling is illegal over here. Mind you, tell that to the kids in my school and all the small corner shops where decks of cards are easily available. I'm after big buggers like Bantex saw in MBK. Thanks Bantex, I'll have a look when I'm downtown again.

If you want regular size cards with extra large numbers you need 'Kem' brand, USA made.

Have not seen them in BKK but available in Singapore.

Thanks for your reply but I'm looking for playing cards that are around the same size as an ipad. I want to use them in a classroom and I need the large size so everyone can see. If you know the old game show 'Play Your Cards Right' you'll know what I mean.
