No overstay at Nong Khai?

Featured Replies

I've seen a couple of posts here about not being allowed to pay long overstays at the overland crossing at Nong Khai

Is this a new thing that anyone can verify? Are people being refused with 3 or 4 months and being sent to Bkk and told to fly out or even deported?

I'm sure the guys at the border would miss all that cash.

Last year I went through Nong Khai and met a guy who had just paid an 11 year (yes, really) overstay at that crossing.

I also have known of 10 years+ at that crossing. i've sailed through with 594 days a few years ago. its just that now lots of people seem to think swampy is the only way out.
