Car Finance

Featured Replies

Has anyone financed a Merc or BMW on a METV or one of the older tourist visa's, or would I have more chance on a Thai Elite visa?

E class Coupe monthly payment is only about 40k a month, after paying 25% deposit.

Haven't done this myself but I would think the key factor would be the Thai guarantor. Having a METV doesn't show any kind of commitment to be here long term so they would need security.

Thanks, I might start being nicer to the x wife, she has a good credit rating, as I've purchased two cars using credit for her.

Buy it cash, than it's even cheaper...gigglem.gif

You will most likely need an non-immigrant visa to obtain a residence certificate from your local immigration office so that you will be able to register the car in your name. They same will apply for the loan and I would assume they want to see a work permit.

WP + payed taxes at least 6 month then u good to go.

You can get residency certificate on a tourist visa no problem. Likewise purchase and registration. Finance is unlikely without a work permit (which requires some form of non-imm visa) (and)or a (Thai) guarantor
