Immigration Reporting in Sattahip

Featured Replies

Next year, I plan to move to Sattahip District on a retirement visa. Does anyone have any experience of immigation reporting in Sattahip? I'm not even sure at the moment where the immigration office is actually located for those living in that District?

Your designated office will be the immigration office in Pattaya.

Sattahip is Chon buri, have to be past kilosip a little before coming into Rayong,

Jomtien is the closest immigration office

Yep, the yellow book (for the house) is obtained from Sattahip and the reporting is done in Najomtein.

Hence your postal address order of merit will likely be something like: Najomtien, Sattahip, Chonburi, KOT

Many thanks.

You will be reporting to Chonburi Immigration office in Jomtiem.

Well run and quite efficient

I guess you mean a retirement extension rather than visa. .

A friend who own a condo in central Pattaya and has a Blue book for this condo has now bought a second condo down in Ban Amphur area on the beach and is living there now. He tried to do his first 90 day address report at soi 5 Jomtien immigration and the officer told him he needs to go to Sattahip. He showed his TM 47 and address info for the Ban Amphur condo and the guy just kept saying Sattahip.

Very frustrated with this he went outside, waited a bit and re entered and this time file a TM 47 for a 90 day using the Pattaya address and info. The officer did his thing and processed the report and then said something related to "I see you before and you want report for Sattahip" Nothing more said and he gave home the 90 day receipt.

After all this he called me and said in a very frustrated way what the H is going on? I said that I am not quite sure as there is no Immigration office in Sattahip that anyone knows about so where this guy was coming from is a good question.

Can anyone shed some more light on this peculiar response from the Jomtien officer and what may have prompted him to keep saying go to Sattahip?

Advice verbatim "over the counter" or from Forums would not be my first choice in getting the facts 100% correct.

Have you tried the Thai Immigration 24hr call center - the few times I have needed to use it they were helpful and correct everytime.

Seems to me that it might be an issue with the Pattaya address you are registered to in the Immigration Dept.computer system and that all you need to update it to the new Sattahip address??????

There is no Immigration Office in Sattahip. Afraid something was lost in translation. Probably meant something to show address in Sattahip, like a utility bill or Chanote that was issued by Sattahip Land Office

Yes my guess was he was being asked for something and he got frustrated with the guy.

I told him if he has not actually filed an official address change (TM28?) to do that before he tries to do the next 90 day report for the new condo location.
