How can these people even get into a plane and leave their countries or keep a valid passport? You would think immigration elsewhere would be checking these things prior to letting them on a plane. Good thing he got caught. One less scumbag here in Thailand now

Money ! open the thick passport and pass back a thinner one , "have a good trip sir "

He was accused of "attempting" to sell drugs. Hardly a criminal mastermind then?

In the UK this would come under the criminal attempts act and have a maximum penalty of 18 months in prison. I have no idea what its worth in Russia.

Thaksin kept his passports (plural) for years and he was a convicted criminal. So no surprises here. whistling.gif

It is of course possible that only enough evidence to justify an international arrest warrant was gathered and presented AFTER he left Russia, not that that would ever stop TVers from throwing blame for not arresting him on exit.

Good for the Immigration Police. They were on top of this. The Computer indicated that there was an open warrant and they arrested. Enough of this speculation on the crime. The police did their job, and need the praise of all.

Mr Toropchinov is Russian, not Rumanian or Bulgarian, or perhaps you meant Uncle Vladimir Putin?

Good Work.

I am sure that Russia will not look for this guy with an international warrant if it is not serious.
