BANGKOK: -- Nok Air’s operations today (Wednesday) are not fully back to normal as the airline still has to rely on other airlines and charter flights to handle several of its passengers.

Eight flights of Lion Air and two flights of Nok Scoot were used to service Nok Air’s passengers and, on top of that, two Nok Scoot flights were chartered to fly passengers to their destinations, it was reported.

Nok Air’s passengers carrying tickets to fly to Hat Yai from Don Meuang airport today were told to check-in at the counters of Lion Air with Nok Air’s ground staff on hand to help passengers to prevent confusion.

Several passengers were frustrated as they were made to wait in long queue in front of Nok Air’s check-in counters with no staff on hand to inform them to check in at the counters of the other airlines.

Nevertheless, Nok Air CEO Pathee Sarasin assured today that Nok Air’s operations would return to normal after Monday 22 and the airline would recruit more pilots to solve its problem of pilot shortage.

You can't recruit more pilots in a week. Looks like the work stoppage was done to highlight a serious pilot staffing shortage

Come on Khun Farang. You 'tink too mut'. Pilots can find many many in one week na. My brother can also his friend can also. 'No pompem'.
