Results of Pattaya Crime Suppression Operation announced

BANGKOK: -- During the last month, the Crime Suppression Division have been undertaking crime suppression operations in each of Thailand’s key tourist destinations, including Pattaya, where the results of the local operation was announced on Thursday.

Police Major General Chan, a Deputy Commissioner of the National Crime Suppression Division, led the press conference where the results of the operation were announced.

12 illegal foreign immigrants, who did not possess passports, were arrested and were from Cambodia, Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

In other words,

95% of "criminals" in Pattaya are foreign nationals
whilst 5% are just unfortunate Thai people caught
up in this massive clean-up operation.

Stop foreigners from entering Thailand, then no police
would be necessary any more and this country would

be virtually crime free.

More piddly stuff attempting to impress. If I were given 5 honest cops with authority (I know, impossible dream) I reckon could accomplish same impact in one afternoon including coffee break. You couldn't swing a cat in Pattaya without hitting some criminal.

The immigration police are only doing their job. Uzbekistan and Pakistan ? Doesnt sound like real tourists to me.
