I have just been told that the visa situation's changed in thailand and am a bit confused whether I will be allowed back in the country. This has been my itenerary for the past 5 months:

4th June - 29th June Thailand

29th June - 24th July Laos

24th July- 24th August Thailand

24th August - 15th Sepember Cambodia

15th September - 15th October Thailand

15th October - present day Laos

Effectively I have spent 3 months out of the 5 in Thailand so have I used up my allowance or does it only apply for consecutive stays? I am now in Pakse, laos and was hoping to cross the border to spend another month in Thailand. I was also hoping to do a border cross after that month to get another 30 days in thailand but now I'm not sure if I can even go back the first time.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The 90 day count is from October 1 so you are still ok.
