Hi - for whats it worth - we shipped your basic forty foot container from Bangkok to Koh Phangan (also an island) for 2,500 USD. Not a single broken piece if packed properly.

We used Transpro - Asian Tigers. They moved our stuff from the UK to here and then again when we moved house in Thailand.

No I don't work for them, nor do I know anyone who works there, but our shopping around showed they were the best price wise without skimping on the service (unless you define 7 blokes moving all your stuff door to door as 'skimping).
