PHANG NGA, 2 March 2016 (NNT) – Phang Nga Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office Head Kultharin Rotchanasurasee said that Phang Nga province is scheduled to hold a tsunami, road accidents and collapsing building drill on Tuesday, March 8, from 2 p.m. onwards at 813 Boat, in the Kheuk Khak subdistrict of Phang Nga Province.

This is being done to make sure people know what to do in an emergency. The drill will involve personnel and equipment preparation, command ordering, and evacuation of people and tourists in risk areas.

The drill will simulate the circumstance of a 9.2 magnitude earthquake off the Sumatra Island which causes road accidents and collapsing buildings.
