Anyone can recommend anyone in Bangkok?

Needs to be expert with kids and issues re teeth all in wrong places and overbite issues.

Looking to start to get advice from various dentists to make informed decisions when child is old enough to start procedures.

Anyone else have any reco's ?

The dentist above recommended braces....for an 11yo .....believe that is a tad young

Can only post that it varies but this is Mayo Clinic post

Traditionally, treatment with dental braces begins when a child has lost most of his or her baby (primary) teeth, and a majority of his or her adult (permanent) teeth have grown in — usually between the ages of 8 and 14.

The Dental Hospital on Suk Soi 49 has pediatric dentists - I don't know the names but if you call there, just specify it is for a child. http://www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com/

Makes sense to get a second opinion for something as costly as braces. But indeed, 11 is not young for getting braces as long as the so-called "12 year molars" have already erupted.

One thing to consider is how much teenagers care about their appearance and how hard it is for a teen to have braces for that reason. Starting younger = the braces can come off younger. But starting before the 12 year molars at least erupt may mean more adjustments later. So around 11-12-13 is usual age.

Thanks....shall give them a try.

Have to say, the link above from lopburi, they responded in perfect English and very quickly several times, never had that in Los before.

I have been reading up a lot....so many conflicting comments and views ......apart from crooked teeth, she has a big overbite, so that is the most important thing I want looked at

I'd recommend Dr. Tippanart Vichayanrat, she's an expert pediatric dentist here in Bangkok. Earned her degrees both at Mahidol University here and Boston University in the USA. She's also well-versed in the English language and practices in one of the leading dental group of clinics in Thailand, Bangkok Smile. I guess you can call them up or visit their website for more information regarding your kiddo's dental condition. From what i know, your kid's oral condition may fall under two fields, pedodontic and orthodontic care, so the good news is, they've got both under one roof.
