We know Japanese snow and Japanese blood are different.

I am told that, now it is getting hotter, and the aircon is being turned on more, we need a big curtain at the bottom of the stairs to stop the cold air going "upstair". As I recall hot air rises. Is Thai air different?. Please help

Thai Air, while not as good as before, is still better than Nok Air.

But the food from Thai air is very bad and comes in mini portions. Hostesses are old and arrogant these days.

You don't need a curtain since cold air doesn't rise.

The BTU of your aircon is determined by the size of the room. We have the bottom of our stairs sealed off with a large blind as the aircon would not work properly if we didnt.

I suppose that hanging a curtain will have a similar effect to closing a door or window (i.e. - decreasing the total volume of air that the unit is attempting to cool).

Cool air does not just settle at the lowest level, it is moved around by the action of the aircon fan and other factors (draughts, movement of bodies) so it makes sense to trap it in the area you wish to keep cool.

Switch on your aircon and place a thermometer at the top of the stairs. You will possibly find that the air there gets cooler after a while.

Thai air is very different. They are the only one that when you fly business out of Bangkok they have a private immigration counter. Can make a huge difference in the start of a trip. ?

Thai air is different mainly "hot" extruded from many Thai Politicians and is worthless. Get rid of your Thai air as soon as possible

I like it!

But the part about " able to swim 50 meters" worries me a bit.

How often do the ditch the plane into the sea?

To be honest, when flying to and from USA, I prefer the Asian airlines who always have young, sweet, attractive female flight attendants.

The unattractive, matronly women and gay flight attendants get a little old on a long flight with the PC American airlines like United.

I have always been impressed by the attendants on Cathey and Japan Airlines.

There is also the consideration of compatibilty between the Thai air and your air conditioner.

It is best to use a Thai manufactured air conditioner, as they are built to handle the unique requirements of Thai air. Second best are Japanese units. Buddhist quality control inspectors in Japan are known to add a special blessing for units destined for Thailand.

German air conditioners are out. Their air handling characteristics are simply too structured for Thai air, which is best moved through gentle pressure.

It is recommended you check the country of manufacture for your air conditioning units, and arrange for replacement units in case of incompatibilities.

Glad to help.

"Thai Air" is the same as air found anywhere in the world !

The air in the atmosphere is composed of different gases. The most common gases are nitrogen (78%), oxygen (about 21%), and argon (almost 1%). Other gases are present in the atmosphere as well, but in very small quantities.

The oxygen concentration does decline at height so perhaps the OP is living on the summit of the Thai Everest where O2 concentration is about 7%.

Low levels of oxygen do cause mental confusion.

I am sorry but you are suffering a fundamental misunderstanding of a basic scientific principle that is unfortunately quite common. The percentage of oxygen concentration in a given weight parcel of air does not change with altitude (up to about 85km). Air is about 23% O2 at Pattaya Beach and 23%O2 on top of Mt. Everest.

The only thing that changes is the pressure of the atmosphere, and yes for every breath you will get less Oxygen and be out of breath, but you will also get less nitrogen, argon and all the rest.

Its obviously a silly question. Becomes serious when I have to shell out for 10 metres of thick brocaded curtain. I am though quite intrigued, not being a physicist or metereological buff why 22 degrees in Europe feels hot and here feels freezing. At 22 here I'm wearing a jumper and she's wearing socks in bed. So maybe there are reasons why she says: อากาศ ไม่เหมือนกัน??

strewth if a girl had all that going for her why would she want a job with Nok Air?

Because Nok air is the only one who is looking for qualified hostesses and she is proud of what she is.

It's far too hot to even try and follow this post. Aircon or Thai Air ? Reminds me of another post that went in two directions.. ..the topic was expired visa. Half chatted about the bank card.. And the others.. Immigration. Time for a beer.
