Does anyone have any experience of either of these places for alcohol treatment on a long term course with admission. Preferably for a foreigner. I understand they will he predominantly thai. But I know they have English speaking doctors. And have heard they have some western patients. Thanks in advance

Don't you have to join in regular therapy meetings?

If your Thai is up to it then go for it. I Have a feeling the swanky places are just money machines for spoiled little kids.

Go and speak to an Abbot and offer a donation to spend a few months away from the outside world and learn how to meditate and quieten you mind.

I think you'd get more from a nice temple than some swanky resort.

Yes I have thought of that for her. If only it were that simple. I think thanyarak seems ok for now. But who knows. Maybe it is just time out to break the cycle she has and get that clearer mindset. Who knows. Life is not so simple
