Non B visa for work permit from Thai Embassy London

Featured Replies

I would like information as per topic title.

Situation, my wife who is a Chinese national, has a legal company in Bangkok, legal meaning she has a Chinese manager, married to a Thai, the required number of Thai employees, taxes paid on time etc etc.

Problem is, we also have an import company here in China, again all legal. Which means she spends majority of her time here in China, allowing her manager, who again is full legal with a work permit to operate the Thai company.

My wife's work permit runs out soon, and she is being made to jump through hoops to get a Non B here, to start with she has to go to the nearest Thai consulate to her home city, which is a two hour flight away. We are just across the border from HK, not sure if it's possible there Ieper more hoops to jump through.

At the end of the month we will be in the UK for a couple of weeks. Hence the question about London.

Chinese Nationals are normally required to obtain Thai visas from within China.

However the London Thai Embassy website suggests it may issue a visa to a Chinese National but best you read the info in the link

http://thaiembassyuk.org.uk/?q=node/54

I have no info about how helpful HK may be .

From the link sunnyjim5 posted.

Passport holders of....China...are requested to apply for Thai visas at the Royal Thai Embassy in London only.

The Royal Thai Embassy in London can issue visa to the passport holder of the above-mentioned countries, provided that the applicant obtains a residence in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
