The Bloviator once again, reveals what a selfish clown he is.

There is no Global Warming. Unless of course, it affects me. laugh.png

Trump acknowledges climate change — at his golf course

The billionaire, who called global warming a hoax, warns of its dire effects in his company's application to build a sea wall.

"Donald Trump says he is “not a big believer in global warming.” He has called it “a total hoax,” “bullshit” and “pseudoscience.”

But he is also trying to build a sea wall designed to protect one of his golf courses from “global warming and its effects.”

"As part of the application, Trump International Golf Links submitted an environmental impact statement — prepared by an Irish environmental consultancy,

which argues that erosion is likely to accelerate as sea levels rise more quickly.

If the predictions of an increase in sea level rise as a result of global warming prove correct,

however, it is likely that there will be a corresponding increase in coastal erosion rates not just in Doughmore Bay but around much of the coastline of Ireland."

"As with other predictions of global warming and its effects, there is no universal consensus regarding changes in these events,” it states.

Two despicable elements combined in this chapter of the huckster who desires to be President; the Mob and the "Blacks":

Trump challenged over ties to mob-linked gambler with ugly past:

The daughter of a reputed New Jersey mob figure says her late father had a longtime relationship with Donald Trump,

that included gambling millions of dollars at one of his casinos, flying on his helicopter and partying aboard his private yacht.

"In 1991, Trump first faced questions about his dealings with Robert LiButti, ...with an explosive temper who would later be banned from New Jersey casinos, for his ties to Mafia boss John Gotti.

At the time, New Jersey state regulators had launched an investigation into allegations by nine employees of one of Trump’s Atlantic City casinos, the Trump Plaza,

that the hotel had repeatedly removed African-Americans and women from craps tables after LiButti, one of the highest-rolling gamblers in the city’s history,

loudly complained about their presence when he was playing."

"State officials argued that, rather than removing some of its employees from LiButti’s craps tables, the hotel should have removed LiButti from the casino.

But it didn’t, the officials contended, because Trump’s casino had put profits above following the state’s laws against racial discrimination."

"Casino Control Commission officials ... on June 5, 1991, doubled the gaming division’s recommended $100,000 fine to $200,000 to reflect what one commissioner contended.

was the “gravely serious” nature of the offense. Three months later, the commission leveled another $450,000 fine against the Trump Plaza"

Angry and resentful losers who have been left behind are being led and driven by Trump the nuclear brain radical wildman and the most far out extreme fringe right that has ever existed in the United States, a rightwing that rivals Mussolini and his March on Rome.....

Michael Gerson: “As a leader, Trump has succeeded by appealing to stereotypes and ugly hatreds that most American leaders have struggled to repress and contain, His political universe consists of deceptive experts, of scheming, of criminal Mexicans, of lying politicians and bureaucrats and of disloyal Muslims. Asked to repudiate David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan, Trump hesitated, later claiming a ‘bad earpiece.’ Asked to repudiate the vicious anti-Semitism of some of his followers, Trump responded, ‘I don’t have a message to the fans.’”

“This is not flirting with the fringes; it is French-kissing them. Every Republican official endorsing Trump should know: This is the company he keeps. This is the company you now keep.”

Erick Erickson: “If the Republican Party wants to go in his direction, I guess I’m not a Republican anymore.”

The Trump campaign and its thrilled followers are conducting their own Mussolini style Long March on Washington.

Past time to head it off cause we know what happened back then. So more Americans who respect the Bill of Rights need to step forward.

The innovation pride of America and the world and the singular reason America retains its competitive technology position in the world, Silicon Valley is especially united against Trump. I keep trying to look for something smart or something I like in this guy and I can't find it. The world's best and brightest can't either....

The innovation economy has a serious distaste for Donald Trump. The masters of this world complain that his ignorance about their work and its relationship to the global economy is horrifying. Rank-and-file programmers are quick to call him a clown, or worse. The unity is notable in an environment where groupthink is frowned upon and nobody ever seems to color inside ideological lines.

http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-trump-silicon-valley-20160524-snap-htmlstory.html

Yes, and that's particularly important when you consider the Silicon Valley elites have never been particularly ideological loyalists to liberal politics or democrats. Unlike the Hollywood crowd. They're pragmatic. They correctly see what trump really is.

You still don't get it. People don't support him because he's a great person, they support him because he is against the establishment. That's it, nothing more. They want to see the establishment clowns brought down, and HRC IS one of the establishment clowns.

By supporting HRC as the preferred candidate, the Dems elite have ensured that Trump is unstoppable, because he is the only one that might be able to stop HRC.

Here's a question for you, if Trump appeals to the right wing, why are the right wing elites so opposed to him? They loathe him as much as any HRC supporter, and are probably trying to get HRC elected, given that she is part of the 1% and ain't gonna rock the boat if she wins.

I have nothing to say about the written stuff, but the cartoon says it all. For many, electing a person with as much bad baggage as HRC is worse than electing Trump, ergo the least bad of two bad choices.

Frankly, the US deserves this, given that the media and the establishment are such to make any decent potential candidate refuse to try. This is absolutely a self inflicted injury.

From the OP, "What everybody’s thinking here is that we’re drifting towards a brokered convention.

Agreed. Failing some unpredictable event it is 'too late to stop the Donald Trump Machine'. The OP is specific to the nomination. Since Trump has pretty much secured the nomination, the OP is nearly settled. It makes sense that the question/OP be extended into the election itself. Trump has upset all paradigms and naysayers and fear-mongers and bullies and RHINOs and socialists, and soundly overturned the money changer tables in the Republican Temple. Trump has now also evidenced a national lead over Socialist opponent #2; the question should now be considered:

Is it too late to stop the Donald Trump Juggernaut?

Trump has forced the architects of the world's current problems out of the political/social woodwork much the same way an exterminator forces roaches from cabinets and drawers and corners and shadows; for fear of their trough-feeding ending they've broken cover to attack Trump. From every corner of the spectrum it is like a Who's Who of the people who have created the mess the US/World is in, and those sucking off of a hemorrhaging America. Realizing Trump is in essence a 'Juggernaut' I went searching online for imagery. Apparently, I am not alone:

You said it right, and that cartoon is brilliant.

The so called elites that have been feeding off society, all over the western world, are terrified of a Trump win. It will be interesting to see how they handle an actual Trump presidency. Is David Cameron going to have to publicly grovel, or will he refuse to allow the Donald into the UK 55555555555555.

Yes, Trump is terrifying the elite. This is why he is offering them huge tax reductions. This is why he wants to repeal Dodd-Frank so big banks can once again gamble with depositors money and get a 2nd shot at creating a Great Depression. This is why he doesn't want a Federal raise in the minimum wage. This is why he wants to appoint extremely right wing judges to the Supreme court. The kind of judges who repeatedly rule against workers and in favor of corporations.

In fact, Donald Trump's playbook is a typically Republican one. Get the base riled up about hot button issues but give more money and power to the financial elites. How does Donald Trump's program differ from, say the program of Ted Cruz'?

Be careful what you wish for. Many dangerous leaders came to power by being 'against the establishment.' Some who come to mind: Pol Pot, Mao, Idi Amin, Bokassa, ...among others. He also prides himself on being unpredictable. Not a good combination. Pol pot and the other tyrants were also unpredictable. Who would have known ahead-of-time of the harm they would cause? Oh, but you say Trump has outlined his policies. Ummmm, have you noticed he's flipped flopped on nearly every one of his policies. Even the wall: His supporters are now saying it was a suggestion, not a promise. Look at transcripts, and you'll see it was an ironclad promise by Trump. Trump and his fans are trying to backstep on the wall (and getting Mexico to pay for it) because they're seeing it's ridiculous. ....same like they're trying to retreat on other Trump promises. Shall I make a list?

Here's a question for you, if Trump appeals to the right wing, why are the right wing elites so opposed to him? They loathe him as much as any HRC supporter, and are probably trying to get HRC elected, given that she is part of the 1% and ain't gonna rock the boat if she wins.

Simple answer: Right wing establishment-types (those who haven't compromised their standards) are against him because they see him as the dangerous buffoon he is. They're also spooked that Trump's loss in November will enable many Dems to take congressional seats. Those right wingers who support Trump lean to the redneck end of the spectrum: Hate-filled, vindictive, blaming, anti-science, superiority complex, etc.

Trump has already snagged the Nomination...

This thread is old and bare. What you see now is just a bunch of old hillary hound dog posters claiming Trump is no good...for whatever reasons.

Yet...he is unstoppable. Seventy Percent of American Voters want change. Hillary is not a game changer, nor a game player...she is old, worn out, politics. Nobody wants her....just a few scrappy hound dogs on TV. She does not have much of a fan club, and her voting base is disappearing fast. Two months...and the old witch is history.

Yes...Trump Machine is on Track rolling down

Pennsylvania avenue.

You can hear that whistle blowing....Chug a chug....The Trump Machine.....coming your way soon.

Let's assume you're right, and 70% of Americans want change. You're then assuming they want the type of change Trump advocates. There are two problems with that: #1 Trump's policies are fatally flawed. #2 he changes his views/opinions day to day. So what sort of change do his fans want? do they want the types of changes Trump spouted one and two months ago? Or do they want the different changes that Trump puts forth now? ....or perhaps his fans want the types of changes Trump will espouse next month or in August, or in September, .....because Trump's statements change week to week.

I want change, but it's far different than the types of changes Trump wants. I want greater focus on environmental husbandry. I want it to be legal to grow and sell hemp and pot. I want an end to the War on Drugs (oddly, some arch conservatives want that also). I want lower Pharma prices, a tougher stance in the SCS, weed out cheats from welfare and veteran payments, higher taxes for very rich, making it more difficult to hide money in foreign places, cleaner oceans, more alternative power, end PAC's, end PIK, cut federal spending by 15%, no bail-outs for badly run businesses, ........most of the things Trump doesn't care or know about. He's too focused on the 30 ft wall which will cost close to $30 billion and won't work. ....and if you think Mexico will pay for Trump's Wall, then there's a $3,000 bill under your pillow which the Tooth Fairy left for you last night.

Yeah, we already know those who have drunk the orange koolaid don't care what is revealed about trump. They're true believers like any followers of any strong leader fascist movements in history. But there is plenty of real stuff coming that has great potential to have an impact on the silent majority of relatively sane Americans. Of course the majority have already taken a side and won't move. It's about those who could go either way.

The only fascists in this campaign are voting Democrat. You an see them violently disrupting opposition political rallies as was popular in Germany 80-90 years ago.

Really? I know you are but what am I?

r-DONALD-TRUMP-SALUTE-huge.jpg

The GOP is perfectly fine with having an unstable, dangerous demagogue running the country. He thinks he can become president with rallies, phone interviews on cable news and pithy Twitter insults. clap2.gif

Farewell to the Trump owned Republican party.

You can use a photo of Trump with his arm raised and imply it is a Nazi salute.

I could post hours of video showing Nazi behaviour by supporters of the Democrats.

The question still remains - did Obama ever declare himself to be a foreigner and therefore gained entrance into College under the 'affirmative action' rules. That is why Trump and many others then wanted to see Obama's college documents and passport application/s after he had released his birth certificate/s. And that was the basis upon which Obama was criticised as not being an American - because he was in College as a foreign affirmative action student. Obama released his birth certificate to prove he was an American - but he refused to release them, or allow the College or Immigration Dept to release those papers. It is all academic now, but maybe one day we will see them - like Bush's academic records (when someone leaks them).

The question remains, but the answer is clear.

I doubt Obama got into Columbia based on good grades alone from Occidental College. Only liberals (like Joe Biden) who suffer from the bigotry of low expectations believe having dark skin and being able to read from a teleprompter makes someone a genius.

I don't blame Obama for using his "exotic" background in order to get benefits as a foreign student. It was probably his mentor, the card-carrying communist Frank Marshall Davis who suggested it to the young Barry.

How many of you here with a kid who is half Thai wouldn't use that to your advantage if it meant getting into an Ivy League school?

As for Bush's academic records, he did better than his 2004 opponent, John Kerry...

Call him a monster and it only reflects on the childishness of the poster and gains supporters for Trump.

Nope..wrong again.

You guys never listen... People want change. That means Hillary is out. Bottom line.

Nobody has to like Trump or his ideas....the point you are missing is that we want Obama and Hillary out.

throw the bums out.

We are bored with the whinging about Trump being dumb, or incompetent, or Orange, or a Hitler. We heard it from three or four posters here over and over and over. You guys just don't understand anything.

Trump clears the way...throws out the garbage. Gets Hillary bounced out of the elections and then lets see.

I think he is ok..but that is irrelevant.

Hope you get it...this time.

There's a handful of posters who seem to be practically hyperventilating over this subject

Correct. They are soooooo terrified of a Trump POTUS, that they are grasping at any straw, no matter how ridiculous to slag him off. I guess they and the ultra right wing of politics are in bed together on this one 55555555555555555555555.

Thaibeachlovers, you're assuming NovaBlue05 is referring to those who don't like Trump. The hyperventilators could well be Trump fans who put 555555555555555 at the end of sentences.

And that brings something else to mind - have you noticed how many people on 'your' side of the debate claim Trump is basing his appeal on the fears of ordinary people (terrorism, jobs, immigrants, political correctness, etc etc) and yet the same people keep saying he is not fit to be POTUS as he will cause WW3. Is that being hypocritical ???

On the plus side, at least you're now writing your thoughts, instead of just taking what I say and turning it back on me. Improvement, good.

Am not sure if I understand the point you're trying to make above. If I (on 'my side') say "Trump is basing his appeal on fears of ordinary people" (your words) ....then that would be true, wouldn't it? Have you heard any Trump stump speeches? Nearly everything he says is based on fanning peoples' fears. He claims we've got enemies everywhere coming at us from all directions, taking advantage of us, etc.

As for starting WW3 ? .....nobody knows, but he's positioning himself as the #1 person for that role. He gets offended very easily. He's quick-to-anger, rash, name-calling (using 7-yr-old's potty mouth words), quick to vindictiveness, thinks everybody is against him (except people who gushingly laud him). He switches allegiances ideas in a NY minute. He loves somebody one moment, hates them the next, then loves them again, back & forth. i could go on, but that's enough for the moment.

FAIL !! Sanctimonious fail at that.

I am wasting my time trying to debate/argue with someone that cannot understand plain logic, and does not have any sense (other than an unfounded sense of self-importance).

Please do go on - with your own life - without me in it thanks.

Agreed - you have added nothing to the discussion for a long time - just more of the same immature personal attacks and insults (and pro-Dem internet cut and pastes).

Therefore, in your own words, you should only post something that will add to the discussion. I wonder - will that occur??

There you go again. You can't think of anything original to say, so you just take my words and toss them back at me. 2nd grade playground taunting personified. Here's a suggestion: try an original thought. Too much of a strain?

You seem to be unable to do anything both throw criticisms at Trump or those that dont agree with you. It was an obvious 'wonder' and an easy bet (like shooting fish in a bucket). Last chance - have a look at this below, and try again:

Trump is like a politically incorrect Uncle who says things that either embarasses others or makes everyone go quiet. When you are young and ignorant of yourself and what you really think and feel about things, your focus is on how he acts and how he says things. Then after time goes by you start to get used to him, and you start thinking about what he is saying rather than how he is saying it. Then you start realizing not only do you agree with many things he says, but he also gains your respect that he has the guts to say it plainly and so bluntly. You actually start thinking - why don't I have that much courage to say it the way I see it – why am I being so ‘politically correct’ and more worried about offending people than speaking the truth. Then you take that 'step up' and you start openly agreeing with him – perhaps less ‘bluntly’ and less ‘offensively’ - but you agree with some things he says and you say so. After a short period you are threatened and intimidated, but you hold to your ideals and values as you believe in them - and you refuse to back down. Then you feel strong enough to engage in a conversation and to debate with others about your pollitically incorrect stance on the things that matter to you.

Donald Trump is the death nail for Political Correctness and those that silence debate and conversation in America through intimidation. More often than not it is through the use/abuse of the media, but it is also done by passing laws and rules that force people to comply (eg. males using female toilets). Now it is politically incorrect to criticise the behaviour of some people, because that is immediately labled as being homophobic, or islamophobic, or racist, or fascist, or sexist. America was founded on freedom of thought and speech, and it is that and only that which leads to peace and the truth - not the fear of losing your job or community status by ‘towing the line’. Amercians have had enough - they are losing their jobs/rights/freedoms - and the politicians (of both sides) are offering more of the same (and even more). Trump is the only answer on offer - and the Trump train is gathering momentum. More and more people are thinking "why not" he couldn't do any worse than the Bushes/Clintons/Obama - and all that khrapp about him nuking the arabs/world is just fear-mongering.

Amercians have had enough - they are losing their jobs/rights/freedoms - and the politicians (of both sides) are offering more of the same (and even more).

Trump is the only answer on offer - and the Trump train is gathering momentum.

The following helps to account for the far right and its suspicions toward the Bill of Rights and their false or erroneous belief Donald Trump as Potus could be held in check by the Constitution. Mussolini Trump has no regard of the Constitution and even less regard of the Bill or Rights.

The Bill of Rights had little judicial impact for the first 150 years of its existence; in the words of Gordon S. Wood, "After ratification, most Americans promptly forgot about the first ten amendments to the Constitution."[72]

The Court made no important decisions protecting free speech rights, for example, until 1931.[73]Historian Richard Labunski attributes the Bill's long legal dormancy to three factors: first, it took time for a "culture of tolerance" to develop that would support the Bill's provisions with judicial and popular will; second, the Supreme Court spent much of the 19th century focused on issues relating to intergovernmental balances of power; and third, the Bill initially only applied to the federal government, a restriction affirmed by Barron v. Baltimore (1833).[74][75][76] In the twentieth century, however, most of the Bill's provisions were applied to the states via the Fourteenth Amendment—a process known as incorporation—beginning with the freedom of speech clause, in Gitlow v. New York (1925).[77]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Bill_of_Rights#Ratification_process

This assists to comprehend how the US far out right is the most extreme far out right the United States has ever known. It is the application of the Bill or Rights beginning mostly in the 20th century that drives the extreme right to Donald Trump who has no regard of the Bill of Rights (save for the 2nd Amendment about guns, god, gays, grits, gravy, goons).

The present American extremist Mussolini right is certainly fierce against the 14th Amendment (which is a post civil war amendment focused on black Americans which has more recently been extended to other oppressed and repressed minorities). The 14th Amendment would be a basis to oppose in the courts any Mussolini Trump loading up of the trains to mass deport immigrants -- to who knows where...and who knows who else...

See my earlier responde to the other looney-left Liberal (Boomerangtang).

DITTO for you too. You failed the test of logic and common sense (also now ignored).

I find it stange that you and Boomerangtang have resonded to half on my post each - I dont find it strange that neither of you actually responded with reason.

And I gotta ask - Is it just a coincidence that you both sound and feel exactly the same - are are you indeed the same person?

Just asking - maybe wrong - I am always suspicious about the real motives of looney left Liberals who dont listen to or respond to anyone else's view (that makes all them really).

By the way - responding is not just throwing back more looney left-wing rubbish - it is providing a (reasoned) sensible response to the points raised.

Knowing that you/Boomerangtang dont seem to know what that is - go and take a look at the 'debate' between myself and keemapoot.

As for Bush's academic records, he did better than his 2004 opponent, John Kerry...

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/08/politics/kerry-grades-near-bushs-while-at-yale.html?_r=0

And here is an interesting site with links to all kinds of documents about various candidates from across the political spectrum...

http://2012election.procon.org/view.additional-resource.php?resourceID=004760

Excellent answer - great stuff - thanks for that. Yes - the answer is very clear.

And you are right - I thought the same myself - why not take advantage of skin/ethnicity to get into an Ivy league college.

Only a very idealistic and naive person would not at least give it a try (if academic results wont get you there) - it sets you up for life.

BUT - only a very two-faced shallow show-pony type of person would do that and then decide to run for POTUS candidancy (indded to play any role in public life).

I wonder if we will ever see such plain common sense as in your post from the nutter Liberals on this post ...............wait - what am I thinking cheesy.gif

You're exactly right. I know many, many people in the valley of all levels. Most of them are highly agnostic in politics, but for sure there is arguably more brain power in the South Bay than anywhere else on earth, and they see this guy clearly for exactly what he is.

I will have to disagree with you on that - I know the place and people very well too. I dont disagree that they disagree with Trump at the 'progammer' level and that at the 'management' level they are concerned. But 'they' aint what they used to be - they are no longer the best of American 'know how' and 'go get'.

They have become over the last 10-15 years, mostly an industry bloated by big corporations and infested with greedy executives. Innovation and creativity (what is left) is nearly all focussed towards making something popular and then selling out to the big corporations - who themselves have very little of either creativity or innovation (beancounters rule).

The progammers are mainly against Trump because they are atypically left-wing people, and the management are concerned about Trump because they see him as someone who will upset their 'gravy train'. Back in the 80s/90s Silicon Valley was a vibrant west-coast phenomenan that drove innovation and changed so many lives world -wide - unlike the stiff/formal east-coasters like IBM.

Unfortunately now that is no longer the case at all - bean counters took over a long time ago (post the 2000 dot.com crash) and they have been driving economic efficiencies (outsourcing to India/China/Mexico etc etc) - they are driven towards the maximising of profits nowadays - innovation and creativity is left to the upstarts/newbies (who like I said - are mainly in it for the get rich opportunities).

And IMO some of the peogrammers will go for Trump over HRC - they have understanding of the real world (admittedly not that much) to know that HRC aint what she claims to be.

By the way - sounds like you have been there a few times too. I miss SanFran so much - best city in USA (maybe New York to visit tourist stuff - not for business though). I used to stay in SF and get a car to San Jose and back - stayed over more than a day or so only if I had to - good memories (except walking up those #*&*ing hills). Funny story - one of my Engineers decided to catch the train one day (for a life experience - you know how some lefties are). But he got on the wrong train/line and then got off at a very wrong place - he decided to walk into town and get a cab and the next thing he was surrounded by (politically incorrect edit) and if not for a passing police car we may never have seen him again (certainly not his IT gear and money). What you would call a 'paradigm shift in his life - he is far more 'right-wing' about things these days biggrin.png

The topic stopped and should have been closed when he became the choice for the Republican candidate for President.

From the OP, "What everybody’s thinking here is that we’re drifting towards a brokered convention.

So, that leaves us with a whole variety of possibilities, even the possibility of a candidate who is not yet known"

Is it too late to stop the Donald Trump machine? Yes. The question of whether he will win the Presidency I believe is a different topic.

Unable to post photo; link to political cartoon: http://www.newsadvance.com/opinion/cartoons/the-trump-juggernaut/image_47d5744a-dcc9-11e5-8484-df776f6e5bb0.html

I don't know what Cruz's program was. He was patently a loser, so I didn't waste my time finding out. Any one that thought making Fiorina VP was a good idea is obviously mentally challenged.

Amazing that people think a bloke who outsources his manufacturing to China and Mexico gives a toss about American jobs.

How dumb can you be?

As opposed to someone that treated national security (emails/phone calls) with disdain, laughed at and shamed women that claimed her husband moleted/raped them, and dilly dallyed thinking of her own political career when her job as Sec State was to send in the rescue team immediately (succeed or fail).

Now that is dumb.
