There's a groundswell of Latinos going to vote Trump! smile.png

It's not hard to see why as they are tired of the illegal aliens as much as anyone...thumbsup.gif

Talk about the nail of truth on the head of the issue - well said.

If a person only listen to the Liberal media you would think all Latinos hate Trump.

And yet some rational Latinos with common sense actually support Trump (28% ??) .

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-latino-voters_us_573c62d2e4b0646cbeeb8c16

That poll tells me, and any person with common sense, at least two points:

1. There are many Latinos who dont just automatically follow/believe the Liberal agenda doctrine:

http://www.ibtimes.com/donald-trumps-latinos-voters-talk-about-why-theyre-supporting-his-presidential-bid-2332400

2. The previous polls included a lot of illegal Latinos - who of course dont want Trump to be POTUS (but they dont vote, so they dont count).

And for those of us with common sense and understanding of what the Liberals are really like - there is point number 3 (in the form of a Q&A):

Q - Why would Obama/HRC and other Liberal Dems try to give all the illegal Latinos (and others) amnesty?

A - Because they know that they will vote Dem/Liberal - and so will all their family and friends that they encourage to come into USA as well (legally or illegally).

Oh, geez.facepalm.gif

Nobody ever said all Latinos hate the vile monster.

All of any demographic group doesn't do anything.

It's not about all.

In this case, it is about the Latino vote being very important and the democrats have that secured to a very high degree.

There is no realistic scenario that changes that in a Clinton vs. Vile Monster contest. "Rapists" indeed.

The pandering, lying, supposed billionaire Bloviator is at it again:

Trump invokes MLK at D.C. biker rally

Donald Trump observed Memorial Day weekend on Sunday by speaking in front of the Lincoln Memorial at a rally of thousands of motorcyclists, where he praised veterans, called reporters “lowlifes".

Thousands. whistling.gif Yet:

"Trump spoke at a stage set up at the end of the reflecting pool closest to the Lincoln Memorial to,

a relatively sedate crowd of hundreds of bikers and assorted tourists, who did not entirely fill the space between the pool and the memorial. The businessman said it was not the scene he expected to encounter:

I thought this would be like Dr. Martin Luther King, where the people will be lined up from here all the way to the Washington Monument,”

said Trump." You wish. cheesy.gif

"Deb Teall, 61, who helped organize the rally, said she had reservations about inviting Trump to speak at an event created to help missing soldiers and POWs. We don’t want to lose that focus,” she said. “We’re not really sure what his stance is on POW/MIA and accountability.”

And more BS:

"Trump repeatedly claimed – falsely – that hundreds of thousands were trying to attend the event, at one point claiming there were “600,000 people trying to get in”.

There were no visible lines or back-ups at any point in or around the mall. Furthermore, according to the United States Census Bureau,

the total population of the District of Colombia is just 672,228."

"The Republican nominee dwelled mostly on crowd size, sharing his disappointment that he was speaking facing the Lincoln Memorial and not with it behind him."

This was an online survey conducted only in English. ANd for some reason you didn'tnote that: "His [Trump's] actual vote tallies consistently trailed the online surveys. They look a lot more like what the live-interview surveys showed at the time.” [NYT]

Nice piece of cherry picking.

It would be interesting to do a study of the relationship and correlation between those who are on government benefits and those that support HRC.

If American tv is anything like tv in New Zealand, which shows a LOT of US shows, a load of ads with a show briefly interspersed between them, and the shows themselves which are the most awful load of crud, especially those "reality shows", I'm not surprised that US citizens would want to see someone fighting someone. Everytime I make the mistake of watching tv I lose the will to live. I'd certainly vote for Trump, just to get something more interesting on tv than the usual load of loser politicians spouting lies ( Q how do you know that a politician on tv is lying. A their mouth is moving ).

For sure, TV everywhere is pretty crap, but the US created an entire generation of TV addicts. And it would be interesting to do a study of the relationship and correlation between those who watch at lot of TV and feel their life is meaningless, and those who support Trump.

I have a strong feeling there would be a very strong positive correlation between the two.

I have a strong feeling there would be a very strong positive correlation between the two.

Didn't one of her supporters in this thread say that he/she watched the entire OJ trials when it was aired? I mean, surely anyone with a job would have hard time watching even a tenth of it.

But yeah, usually there is a very strong correlation with voting for democrats and wanting (demanding!) stuff for free that other should people pay for.

There is certainly a very strong positive correlation for 2 of the hardest working and highest achieving blocs and support for the Democrats. The 2 blocs I'm referring to are Asian-Americans and Jewish Americans. There's also a similar high correlation for scientists. And for people who work in Silicon Valley. You know, the cutting edge of American business. Where the USA outshines the rest of the world.

Interesting how the quote:

laugh.png

Turns into the terribly desperate, edited characterization of: "a relatively sedate group of bikers and assorted tourists" whistling.gif

While ignoring the Bloviator's blatant lie of "600,000" attendees and the complete bomb that was the Bloviator's rally.

Kathleen Romeo, a 16-year-old student at St. Michael's Academy in Manhattan, said cries of "There's Trump!" went through the crowd of onlookers when the erstwhile deal maker emerged from his limousine in front of a Smiler's deli.

"A lot of people were surprised that he got out to see what was happening," Romeo said, adding that the bat-wielder ran off just before Trump actually appeared, and that Trump, "just looked around and went back into his limo."

Maybe John Barron made up the story?

One interesting move designed to stop Trump is this big hush hush move by Bill Kristol and the GOP establishment. Kristol tweeted yesterday that there was a new independent candidate coming, and Trump freaked out and started calling Kristol names, etc.. People are questioning whether this is likely, but Kristol is not one to bullshit on something like this.

The Washington Post had reported a little over two weeks ago that GOP operatives had mounted an effort to derail Donald Trump by bringing in another conservative candidate. Goldman confirmed that several names were being considered at the time, including former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and retired Army Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/weekly-standards-bill-kristol-new-candidate-will-compete-in-presidential-race/

But the deadlines are coming and going for this, so not sure if we will see this happen or not. One thing that is interesting is to see how many desperate normal Republicans who jumped on the Trump train will jump back off to support a real Republican.

It could be one last way for the GOP establishment to shut down Trump, as the convention path was shut down.

Do you know that Donald Trump is proposing the biggest tax cuts by far for the superrich? Out of all the Republican candidates his were the most generous to the superwealthy..And that's saying a lot. Dijd you know that he opposes raising the Federal minimum wage? That his list of Supreme court candidates are the kind of judges who usually rule in favor of corporations and against working people? That he wants to repeal Dodd-Frank and allow hedge funds and banks to once again endanger the world economy? Why do you think he will help the normal person? I honestly don't get it.

Shady accounting underpins Trump’s wealth

The GOP nominee is rich. But how rich depends on odd accounting and subjective criteria.

"Donald Trump claims a net worth of more than $10 billion and income of $557 million. But he appears to get there only by over-valuing properties and ignoring his expenses.

POLITICO spoke with more than a dozen financial experts and Trump’s fellow multi-millionaires about the presumptive Republican nominee’s financial statement."

"Their conclusion: the real estate magnate’s bottom line – what he actually puts in his own pocket – could be much lower than he suggests.

Some financial analysts said this, and a very low tax rate, is why Trump won't release his tax returns."

“I know Donald, I’ve known him a long time and it gets under his skin if you start writing about the reasons he won’t disclose his returns,”

said one prominent hedge fund manager who declined to be identified by name so as not to draw Trump’s ire.

“You would see that he doesn’t have the money that he claims to have and he’s not paying much of anything in taxes.” Ya think? clap2.gif

There are also stories that Mitt Romney is being wooed strongly to enter again. We still haven't seen Ryan and other establishment get fully behind Trump yet, so maybe there is something in the works. Who knows, maybe just mumbling, but it's hard to believe the establishment is going down without a fight.

Two sources close to Mitt Romney told CNN he still will not go so far as to to run as an independent. One of the sources said, "No, no, no, no, no. I promise you. No."

The first quote cites Robert Paxton who's a leading expert globally on fascism, and the piece as a whole applies Paxton's works in respect of their contemporary observations and analysis.....

Trump’s not Hitler, he’s Mussolini: How GOP anti-intellectualism created a modern fascist movement in America

To quote Paxton again, this time from his seminal “The Anatomy of Fascism”: “Fascist leaders made no secret of having no program.” This explains why Trump supporters are not bothered by his ideological malleability and policy contradictions: He was pro-choice before he was pro-life; donated to politicians while now he rails against that practice; married three times and now embraces evangelical Christianity; is the embodiment of capitalism and yet promises to crack down on free trade. In the words of the Italian writer Umberto Eco, fascism was “a beehive of contradictions.” It bears noting that Mussolini was a socialist unionizer before becoming a fascist union buster, a journalist before cracking down on free press, a republican before becoming a monarchist.

Yet some no doubt might not be so sure about the obvious, so there is something for them to consider too....

Donald Trump May Not Be a Fascist, But He is Leading Us Merrily Down That Path

People who have studied the extremist right as a historical and sociopolitical phenomenon in depth are acutely aware of a simple truth: America has been very, very lucky so far when it comes to fascistic political movements.

And now, with the arrival of the Donald Trump 2016 phenomenon, that luck may be about to run out.

Nor is this phenomenon just a flash in the pan. Trump is the logical end result of an endless series of assaults on not just American liberalism, but on democratic institutions themselves, by the American right for many years. It is the long-term creep of radicalization of the right come home to roost.

http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2015/11/donald-trump-may-not-be-fascist-but-he.html

And this from NYT....

Trump’s Il Duce Routine

LONDON — Europe, the soil on which Fascism took root, is watching the rise of Donald Trump with dismay. Contempt for the excesses of America is a European reflex, but when the United States seems tempted by a latter-day Mussolini, smugness in London, Paris and Berlin gives way to alarm. Europe knows that democracies can collapse.

But frighteningly, a majority of Americans supported Mussolini for most of his dictatorship. Isolated by an ocean, they fell for his rhetoric.

True. They could take the election to congress and we'd get Romney. I think still possible. Better than trump anyway.

Presently Trump is having his moment in the sun.

He's up in the polls cause Republicans are lining up behind him.Trump is going in to the convention which he'll make into a five day and night entertainment and reality show (they're trying to get the rock group Journey which wants $750k to do a really big shew).

R's who want an R as a candidate against Trump (and Hillary) will be looking to the polling data in mid-September after the first interstellar televised debate. Trump won't be so up by then. In fact...

It is not about luck...

It is about the fact that we have our checks and balances.

No president will ever be a dictator.....as Nixon found out.

You can sleep well, about that. Trump is not a military man, and although he may do good in other areas, he certainly will not become a successful dictator. Nor do I believe that is his goal.

"In 1991 Donald Trump saved a man from a mugging. Trump told his car driver to pull over and he confronted the mugger with a baseball bat. The mugger recognized Trump and then ran away." http://articles.philly.com/1991-11-20/news/25769814_1_donald-trump-marla-maples-big-bat

Batter's Up

Bases are loaded

Hillary is pitching her curve ball

Trump Swings....and...yeah...Right Field...no wait.

it's over the fence.

No, the Mudville Nine went down that day as the Mighty Casey struck out.

The pitched ball never left the catcher's mitt. Ole Casey -- same as Romney and same as McCain got caught looking.

Spring training is over and the teams are traveling to their cities to open the season by the end of July.

The dog dayze of August will not be dull due to The Donald. But they will be boring. The rightwing and other extremists of personality and temperament fail to see America and Americans are fed up with The Donald and His Act already. The D.J. Trump Travelling Circus.

The election will anyway restore order after all of Trump's beanball and wild pitches in all directions throughout all of the season. There is such a thing as too much of a bad thing.

As an outsider looking in....If Trump should get the nomination when he faces up to a real politician in Clinton certainly in policy she will cut him to ribbons, she don't have the razzamatazz like the golden boy what she has is real experience in government and for us watching this circus we all hope the Trump does not make president.

No we don't.

The US is about to collapse and Trump will look after the normal person rather than the usual corrupt millionaire.

No, I didn't know that. I don't know what to believe

I'm a American right wing guy not fed up with Trump. As the time goes on many more will begin to investigate all the gates with Hillarygate and become less and less fed up with Trump. It's not that he is so good it's that she is so so bad.
