Tiger Airways will soon be flying between Singapore and Udon Thani, with one-way fares starting from Bt248, excluding taxes.

There will be three flights a week starting on January 9.

Udon Thani will be Tiger Airways’ sixth destination in Thailand after Bangkok, Hat Yai, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Krabi.

Chief executive Tony Davis says Udon Thani is an important transportation and communications hub for northeastern Thailand, especially for travellers visiting the Laotian capital of Vientiane, another hour away by road.

Tiger is the only airline with direct scheduled flights between Singapore and Udon Thani
