Europe’s most wanted man, Salah Abdeslam has been moved from hospital to a high-security jail in Belgium where he has been questioned and awaits charges for his alleged role in the Paris terror attacks.

According to his lawyer he is cooperating with police but will refuse extradition to France.

The first suspect to be taken alive, the information Abdeslam gives could provide vital insight into the ISIL terror group.

Security services will be looking for answers on ISIL’s plans and structures, Abdeslam’s contacts in Europe and Syria as well as his support networks and finances.

After four months on the run, the 26-year-old was finally captured during a raid on a flat in the Molenbeek area of Brussels on Friday.

It sounds like this guy is singing like a canary. He is a big, big coward. When it came his turn to give up his life for his cause, he decided not. He then ran and now he is talking.

He is a high value prisoner, but it doesn't sound like it will take anything more than throwing a cold glass of water at him to get him to talk.

I am glad they caught him and hope he gives valuable information. If I were a member of his terrorist cell, I think I'd high tail it out of town quick.

Was reported, he backed out of igniting his suicide vest, bad enough,& now "co-operating with Police" ......I'd say will have a high price on his head & his days are numbered; don't buy any green bananas !!

What worries me is that he lived under the radar in his Molenbeek ghetto amid sympathisants who would never consider ratting him out. I don't think anyone walking around in Molenbeek would feel being "in Belgium". Maybe I drove around a few Molenbeek streets 30 years ago, might try out a "promenade" there during my May trip to get a feeling.

Time the EU set up its own Gitmo.

South Georgia in the South Atlantic seems like an ideal location.

extreme situations require extreme measures

looks to me like someone did "rat him out" or as I would put it - assisted police in chasing down a "murdering scum coward terrorist"

Yep, has been living for 4 months less than 500m away from the family house, half of Molenbeek was aware of this but he was ratted out? (And the cops had no clue....)

Don't be surprised if the flight from Brussels to Paris takes about 168 hours longer than usual.

Good idea Sgt . . .

However, in Europe, we are far more concerned about people's human rights rather than upsetting anyone!

The last PM in GB to have balls was Lady Thatcher . . .
