Can anybody suggest a hotel near the U.S. embassy in Bangkok? How long is the ride from the new airport to that area now?

I have avoided Bangkok for some time perfering to come in and out of Phuket via Singapore. Thanks for the help.

Haven't used the new airport yet, but when in BKK I almost always stay at the Conrad Bangkok on Wireless Road. I believe it is a stone's throw from the US Embassy. It's a bit pricey, but easily one of the nicer hotels I've ever stayed in (it helps to get free upgrades to a suite). Five minutes walk to the Skytrain at Ploen Chit, or another 10 minute walk to all the Sukhumvit night life.
