Thanks dave 2. I wish I could be there but I'm in Australia.

If it was held here there would be a few hundred attending.

If you go could you post a few pics please.

Didn`t know the man but 69 is not living to a ripe old age.

The other day I was watching an old historic video on YouTube of London made in 1927. Except for the fashions not much seemed different and life went on very much the same as it does today. This all happened before I was born and will continue on after I die, which made me realise we are only allocated a short time on this World, could say we are visitors in fact.

Some people manage to leave their mark on the world, others just pass and fade away into oblivion. But I have learned to make the most of what I have, be proud of my own achievements and savoir every day I am breathing the air, even the polluted air of Chiang Mai, because none of us know when we are going to get the calling, there are no set rules as to what ages we will reach our final destinations.

I am not religious or preaching, this is my message to the people that complain about their lot and find faults in everything. We can be here one minute and gone the next. Remember that.

RIP to the gentleman Peter Atkinson.

All the lads at work raised a glass to Peter last night, and wished him well on his continued journey.

He was a well travelled fellow, first going overseas to avoid the draft when Australia went to war with Vietnam.

He travelled for six years until he got a call from his mum that Gough Whitlam had declared an amnesty.

He worked as a surveyor in Africa for a few of those years.

He worked for me and was a director of the company I started in 1985.

He will be fondly remembered.

R.I.P. Pete.
