Here's a nice combo, and please forgive me as I could not find the relevant answer in the forums (and nothing close that was recent, and given how the rules change, hoping to find something up to date).

Does anyone know if it is possible for a visitor to France, on a G7 passport, to go to the French Embassy and apply for a Visa to visit Thailand?

Obviously I can get the 30-day visa-on-arrival, but would rather get a 60-day single entry if possible (or a multi-entry if possible).

(I've e-mailed the embassy to get some information, but sometimes the people here know better than them :P)

Thank you all.

They will not do one. From their website." 7.The Royal Thai Embassy stopped issuing visas to foreign nationals who are not resident in France"

You could contact one of the honorary consulates about getting a single entry tourist visa. Multiple entry tourist visas normally can only be applied for in your home country.

List of honorary consulates in Europe is here. http://www.guidetothailand.com/thailand-travel-information/honcon-europe.php

Not sure why you would be seeking a Thai visa from a French embassy ! smile.png

The Thai embassy in Paris is known to be "difficult".

You may have better luck tying at one of the Thai consulates in France or, indeed, in another European country.

Actully I e-mailed the consulate in Lyon. Nicely enough they responded quickly! They completely ignored my question and just sent the standard forms however. I'll keep trying :P Might have to go to another country to get a Visa to go to Thailand :P

I would say them sending you the application form is a good indication they will do it for you as long as you made it clear in your email you were not French.

Except the application form specifically says you have to have a long-stay visa or be a resident (and therefore excludes tourist) :)
