Safety costs money and the owners of boats, buses; he BTS etc are greedy. they don't care about the customer or their employees. Until the government or courts come down really hard and make them pay hard cash they will not change.

Prayuth Promises Punishment for Not Maintaining Transport Safety, unless they have rich families and then they can just carry on.......

The sentiment is right but unfortunately the PM is only one man. Like the PM's of other countries or Presidents if the rest of the people in power dont give 100% support, not just in words, then nothing will happen.

Or when farang get hurt who have travelinsurance with free international lawyer service.

"Not Maintaining Transport Safety" Does that mean the transports were safe in the recent past?

Who will get the punishment of the train/bus collision?

The train, the bus or the government for not making a warninglight that the train is coming?

Commendable ... But bs... Upholding and enforcing the current laws might help more... Instead of just milking the cash cow

Here is a first for him Bus accident at a railway crossing ! Now lets see mmmm

My goodness, things are becoming serious. They must be because the PM has jumped from the 'urging' stage on this to the 'promising' stage. WOW!

OOOUUUHHHH AAAAAHHHH, now the evil influential driver's mafia organizations will quiver in fear,.. .cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

A complete review of all transport means in Thailand is needed. This is becoming ridiculous, horrific daily accidents around the country. Is it too hard/ difficult for a normal government to bring in laws? Can they not fine, prosecute ? Obviously not, so Thailand has become a lawless country!

Has become? Just look at the road (especially after dark) and it's obvious.

Perhaps well intentioned initiative, but now all drivers will do a runner!

Big man still quiet about the train crash?

It's good to see yet another pronouncement from the junta.

Now all we need is some - any - independent evidence to see that they actually work.

BTW, I wonder what the budget is for this latest public spirited initiative? wink.png

They will play the time game in time all will blow over. Budget for this latest public spirited initiative? Now your talking money and here is where things hit a stone wall.
