Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Apr. 2 (ANI): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has appealed to the residents and tourists in southwestern Kep province to temporarily stop eating seafood as sea waters turned green due to algae.

The Prime Minister in his official Facebook page also urged the people to stop playing sea waters for a while in order to avoid negative impact on their health, reports Xinhua.

The Cambodian Prime Minister made the call after the Ministry of Environment announced that sea waters in the province have turned green in recent days due to the irregular growth of algae.

It was further announced that algae may have adverse impact on the health of humans and animals. (ANI)
