PATHUM THANI:-- Police are investigating the death of a furniture delivery man found in a pool of blood in a Pathum Thani apartment block.

The man, Krisada Wiangsa, 34, was believed to be suffering mental illness according to evidence given by his wife, Hongthong, 41. Police initially suspect suicide but the wife has been taken in for questioning.

Krisada was found dead in the room he shared with his wife after she popped out to pick up his mother. The man had massive injuries to his neck.

The drama unfolded at the second floor room in Charoensap Apartment in Soi Nakornchai Villa, Klong 1.

Hongthong told police that her husband who had mental issues woke in a start on Sunday saying that someone was trying to kill him. He requested his wife to contact his mother to get her to come. Mum arrived some hours later and Hongthong went to pick her up at the end of the soi. They returned to the grisly scene and called in local police.

A kitchen knife was found next to the body. Police have sent the body of the man for detailed autopsy and are questioning the wife further in the case.
