Popular Post Rough Rider
Went today for my 90 day report in Pattaya. Normal stuff, but I had my passport and all my documentation stolen a month ago. I do have a copy of my passport , visa and and everything that was in my passport. A letter of my Embassy that I applied for a new passport, copy of passport application, police report that I did report it and proof of residents from Immigration. They told me that I can not report my 90 days without a passport. I did not accept this and insist in a nice way that I want proof that I did report for my 90 days. If you do not have proof of 90 days report the fine for that can be up to Thb5000. Eventually the Immigration officer punched my passport number into the computer and issue me a 90 day report receipt. Model of the story, Don't take no for an answer from Immigration and just accept it. This can be fatal at the end.

offset
They never see your passport if you do it online or by post so why they need to see it if you go to the immigration
Rough Rider
They never see your passport if you do it online or by post so why they need to see it if you go to the immigration Post or do it online is the same as go to 7/11 to report your 90 day stay in Thailand. Immigration need to put it in the database that you have reported, otherwise you have not report your 90 day stay in Thailand.

Are you suggesting that 90 day reports cannot be done on line or by post ? If so you are mistaken.

One even mentions a immigration office that closed many years ago.

Where did I say you cannot do it by post or online all I was trying to saying that If you do it by post or online they do not see your passport so why must they see it if you go to the immigration if you can show them that he had all the reports to show that it was lost and he could not show his passport
