China’s 'death simulator' set to pull in crowds

SHANGHAI: -- It is a whole new take on the “game of life”. In fact its a game of death. Xinglai which is “awaken “ in English is an attraction opening in Shanghai where participants are given the opportunity to be “killed off” by their peers “cremated” and then “resurrected” by birth through a latex womb chute.

It seems to be popular among those who got a sneak preview. One of those was 33-year-old Lu Si Wei:

“The “death simulator” is really interesting. It at least gives you the chance to calm down, and give in to some deeper thoughts and think about some of life’s problems. I think this (feeling) is different. When you walk through that door, you will experience some changes in your mentality, and it will be different from what it was before you entered. I think this is really great, and very worthwhile.”

Participants can also write down their “final” reflections and their “last words before death”, to take home as a souvenir or to shred on the spot.

The entrepreneurs behind it say they want to help people forget their problems and gain a different perspective of life.

I suppose you have to answer a few questions which may reveal something. Such as Have you made a will ? have you set your affairs in order? have you provided for anyone? Do you have any problems

Some people will realise they dont care to walk away and die and others will become really responsible. Maybe some will enjoy the release and go and commit suicide........

The Thai version lets you choose between being shot in the face by a drunk policeman, getting a machete in the head by an angry Taxi driver, stabbed in the chest by an angry 17 year old, tied up and tortured by a bodybuilder because his girlfriend looked at you, or thrown off a balcony by Noi and the condo's security guard.

At the end your family gets a 100,000 bill for 'expenses'.

I have some last words for you, but they are not the words one should write down...I also have some "final" gestures!
