The official announcement is that the crazy Songkran splash on Khao San and Silom will end today,

As they seem to have ended the event yesterday evening with police (closing time) you could hope that the closure on 15th will be enforced.

(there are conflicting reports about the closure time, 9 PM or 10 PM)

Don't hold me responsible if you get wet biggrin.png

Richard Barrow is not the official announcer.

It was in the news beforehand.

If you like water-fights, drive to Pattaya.

The climax yet to come there.

Played? What do you think it is, a game? It's cultural.

I never realized they had high pressure water guns in Thailand 100 years ago.

that's news to me? What is cultural regarding sitting in the back of a pickup truck and throwing buckets of water at people on motorbikes?

You didn't quite catch the fine sense of humor ?tongue.png

Surely no one will claim that this techno party/reveler madness has anything to do with the original roots of Songkran which is of course a cultural thing.

Here in upcountry you will get some idea of it.

Yesterday got my "palms sprinkled" by the granddaughter.

Do you buy your granddaughter presents at Christmas ? Or is it only certain cultures you respect ?
