Violent Brawl Between Drunk Australian Tourists Shocks Pattaya
They were closing at midnight in Hua Hin recently because of violence involving locals. The last straw was a local police officer/soldier who shot and killed another police officer/soldier after a night drinking. This is what I mean by a lot of people being very unaware of the kind of things that happen, and Hua Hin is a town that is somewhat well regulated and docile compared to others. Of course though, two Australians having a handbag affair is unacceptable and the worst that happens in Thailand. In Pattaya of all places! -

Moroccan Police Thwart Mass Migration Attempt at Ceuta Border Amid Rising Tensions
IMO it can't be long before western countries cancel any international agreements on migration and just stop them, deport them, and generally make it not worth paying criminals to transport them to the borders. If the present governments won't or can't, they'll be swept away in a voter rebellion. The fight back has begun at long last. -

Zebra crossing drama: Pickup truck hits student outside school - video
No, and if you'll notice, there are many school buses, overcrowded, with up to 12 kids sitting on the TOP of the bus. If they cared, this wouldn't happen. Schools start and stop at certain times, and there are plenty of policemen in this country to take 30 minutes twice a day to monitor school crossings so the children are safely across. Enforcing laws , including speeding and using a phone in school areas, saves lives every year in the US. I do see some police at certain schools watching crossings, so it does happen, but it should be everywhere. Spending more money protecting their children instead of on military equipment they don't need is a start. -

That used to be the case, but Nationwide recently changed to allow you to use its app for authentication, so a UK 'phone number may not be necessary.- 1

Can the Growatt SPF-5000ES inverter manage sodium-ion batteries?
I plan to go in 2 steps. But the 2 solar sets, including their ESS, would always, at a given time, be similar and communicate. The first step would rely on limited ESS packs based on current battery models. Given their low storage capacity, I see them more like a solar UPS than a full off-grid system The second step would go full mode with a final choice of battery type. It would mean significantly upscaling the initial ESS units (keeping the original type), or replacing them entirely by adopting another type available in the future (possibly the sodium I mentioned). (I wouldn't run two types of batteries at any stage, for ease of management) Therefor, my question about the Growatt inverter being able to manage the Sodium-Ion battery type. -

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has pledged to speed up compensation for flood victims and establish a new emergency alert system. A budget will be allocated for a "cell broadcast service," an alert system which will be launched next year. A hospital in Samut Sakhon will compensate two families after admitting to giving them the wrong babies following treatment last month. a Thai baby was given to a Myanmar family and vice versa due to a mix-up after nurses cut and swapped the babys wristbands during bathing. The parents requested DNA tests, which confirmed the mistake. The hospital accepted it had been negligent and will compensate the families by providing free medical services for both children.. The minister of Foreign Affairs held talks with Myanmar authorities to find mutual ways to reduce the flood situation in the region. Both sides discussed technical details to determine suitable areas that could be turned into catchment areas. Meanwhile, Strong winds and rain swept across the south, bringing flash floods. Authorities in Phuket evacuated a small group of residents from high-risk areas due to continuous flash floods. Fearing another landslide. 17 people spent last night in a local Temple. Across the region China: Emergency workers cleared fallen trees and other debris from Shanghai's streets after the strongest storm to hit the Chinese megacity since 1949 disrupted transport and left more than 30 thousand housholds without power. A 27 year old Hong Kong man yesterday pleaded guilty to sedition for wearing a T-shirt with a protest slogan, becoming the first person convicted under the city's new national security law passed in March. the maximum sentence for the offence has been increased from two to seven years in prison and could go up to 10 years if "collusion with foreign forces" was found involved.
