Coded Welder

I`m a coded pipe welder by trade and also worked at J.C.B Excavators in England building diggers. I`m 34 and wanted to get out of engineerig but just wondered if there is any work available in this field and if so what sort of money could i get.

People working in this field in Thailand make around $300 or $400 a month, tops. They have no need for foreigners with this qualification.

When working in the Arabian gulf,I had as weldors,Certified ASTM pipe and pressure vessel weldors with LH 300 certs. and they were all Thais, so it appears that there are plenty of em here.

yep, I had six certified welders building gas tight furnaces, all Thai and each was earning 600 Baht/day, they did a ###### of a good job too.

On the other hand you could easily become an English teacher at one of the fine institutions here and draw around 2-3 times that amount. All the best!
