job local contract farang salaries

Featured Replies

Hi folks, realistically how much do us farangs earns on local thailand contracts?

I've known teachers who earn 30k to general managers at manufacturing industries who earn 150k.

Also teachers at international schools earn like 150k aswell?

How about professors at thai unis? I heard they are in the level of 200,300k.

For myself, 100k seems the zenith for cheap Charlie like me.

I consider min 10m baht possibly be enough for 30 yr retirement.

What's your thoughts peeps?

Also how much do thai gm s earn?

Some say around 80k, but I have a feeling, min over 120k with company cars with free fuel. Just a hunch

Last position I held in Thailand before retiring was on local contract at £6,500 a month (fully disclosed in Thailand) with 120k baht housing/car allowance. They paid all Thai income tax.

Fairly standard for the E&C business. Was a bit of a drag getting paid in sterling as it had to be converted to USD each month and pound was a bit strong during that time.

Professors making 200,000 to 300,000......LOL.......seriously, LOL!!!!

International School Teachers making 150,000.......LOL......only a very few at the big well known schools.

Not sure where you are getting this stuff from. Are you trolling?
