PHUKET: -- Two men were hospitalised in the early hours of this morning (May 6) after they were rescued from a burning vehicle that had crashed into a roadside pylon on bypass road. The impact of the crash caused the car to catch fire leaving it completely burned-out.

A person who witnessed the accident called 191 at 1:30am this morning and reported that a vehicle had crashed into roadside pylon and caught fire on bypass road northbound.

Lt Col Chalaew Taihu from Phuket City Police attended that scene, across the road from Premium Outlet in Koh Kaew, with Kusoldharm rescue workers to find a Bangkok registered Honda smashed into a pylon and totally consumed by a fire.

The two men were rescued from the burning vehicle by passing motorists and taken to Vachira Hospital after receiving first aid treatment at the scene.

The victims, Mr Sulaiman Daoh, 25, suffered minor injuries and was able to communicate with police, while Mr Amran Deeramae, 27, had suffered a severe head injury.
