NickJ
I was wondering how long the affadavit for income verification is valid. I use the US Embassy outreach team when they are in Jomthien and it saves me the trip to Bk. I got one today but my extension of stay is valid until Aug 7....Thanks. ubonjoe
I was also at the outreach this morning. Combined that with a short holiday with my family. Doing it early. Extension is due in August. Third time I have done it this early.

MYKTHEMIN
Yes and get messed about for hours for questioning their own rules.
Eclipse
The official rule is 6 months, so you are questioning nothing.

As far as I am aware, Nakhon Sawan are the only other office who also enforce a 1-month rule as reported at http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/772672-retirement-extension-nakhon-sawan/ A Google search which I have just conducted has failed to reveal any of the "many other offices" or even any of the "other forums" to which you refer. I have therefore come to the conclusion that both are probably figments of your imagination!
