Enyhoos, just to answer a questioon for the romantic lover-dude:

After a lengthy seperation like this, the gal can get a divorce if she wants to, then you'll be the new guy and all will be happy - with a bit of luck and a little compensation to the hubby.

She'll have to pay a lawyer to push it through, which is most likely why she hasn't done it yet - I know a Thai wimman in that situation, we ask a lawyer already, and I'm gonna lay down the dosh for the thing once I'll be sure I wanna stay with her.

Cool. :o

Excuse me. If she is really serious about a legal divorce, she'll work out a way to do it. In this case, she seems like she wants to hang on to it for something else... like a double deal - something from the current husband and something else from the bf.

Talk about being greedy.

If she had told the OP that she's still legally tied to the husband, do you think the OP would have stayed on? Why not check how many had been in his place by this very woman?

I would certainly do the right thing and run a mile!

According to the law, her husband has to right to sue you for your cash.

Don't even call her or anything, if you do you may be breaking the law. Don't mess with a married woman anywhere in the world and especially - Thailand. Very dangerous.

What right does he have to sue this man ?

With your post, it sounds like his wife was under aged or she was in his care. I don't think the law can do anything at this stage until either party got hurt or she wants to divorce but he doesn't. Or he wants to divorce but she doesn't. If they both agree to get divorced after the incident, you won't need the law and no-one could sue you. But if she claims that this man raped her, that's it, he is in troubles.

This man and the wife may just get a pinch and a punch from the husband if not the bullets :o

If she loves you, she will divorce from him. Don't do anything until you see the divorce paper if you are not sure if that is the fake one just hold her hands and go check at the registra :D GOOD LUCK !

Someone hasn't divorced after a seperation, and all these assumptions about her motives - wowwww! :o

That is a bad trip you're on, girly, relax, float and let some positive thoughts come to you. :D

Life is beautiful. :D

Ah...! There you are! Why not divorce after a 5 years' separation? Still can't make up her mind? Plenty of discrepancies in her situation. :D

Life is more beautiful for me here. In fact, never better :D:D:o
