Tourist Visa extension-Chiang Mai

Are tourist visa extensions in Chiang Mai processed at Promenada or the old building near the airport? There seem to be conflicting reports. Also, is this a case of getting in line very early on a Monday morning?

Getting there early is only for retirement extension from what I have read.

Went there recently and got a visa extension at 2 PM , theres a free bus from the Meridien hotel , Loi Kroh , at just before noon

And if you don't want to chance having to hang around for 2-3 hours, you can use the agent a couple of doors down - 500 baht fee.

Update on Tourist Visa extension-I arrived at Promenada at 2:30 and was out by 3pm. I was asked for a specific address and showed them a business card in English/Thai of a local hotel. Parking was easy and there is a shop that handles copies and photos a few doors down. A very smooth process.

The shop downstairs does 6 photos for 200 Baht .

Upstairs on the 3 rd floor is a camera shop that does 12 photos for 100 Baht
