Not really. That's a bit pessimistic.

The problem is that, without the US giant in the room, there are too many mini-prima donnas in the room, each one playing to his (or her) audience back home.

And it's all very well to point out - as some do - just how many troops and tanks & planes etc etc the Europeans have between them. But for them to be effective, they have to be able to work together & integrated on the battlefield. Which happens only after years of practising.

The problem is Europe has no arms to give.

Even Germany and the UK have a threadbare armaments and ammunitions cupboard.

Only the US can supply what Ukraine neeeds. That's why Zelensky is kissing Trump's feet now, despite being beatch-slapped in the oval office like a naught boy.

Thats not what the LiberalTDS sufferers on here will tell you at all. They love to say how much America will suffer and the EU will rise up and take care of their own.

Clearly they can't or they would have. This just confirms that not only can't they, they wont when given the opportunity.

You're right about munitions and hardware, whats required doesn't exist in the amounts needed outside of the USA, unless they're going to get it from China or Russia. lol

If you think what the Ukrainians manage to do by way of special ops (eg killing Russian generals either on the battle field or practically at the front door of the Kremlin), I think if I were one of Trump's flunkpersons I'ld be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my days ...

What price the integrity of the US now after promising to protect Ukraine....give up your nuclear weapons/arsenal and we will protect you. What a load of....image.png.9ba9ea029602bd41ebeda83eaa07a60d.png

Yes, indeed, when it comes to underhand, hidden, stab-in-the-back, operations Ukraine excels above any other nation, they managed to blow up Nord Stream 2 and blame the Russians, routinely murder Russians in Russia they don't like then run away, it's remarkable.

However, that's nothing compared to what the likes of Russia or the CIA are capable of, and Zelensky knows this. He of course already lives looking over his shoulder thanks to his poking Putin in the eye constantly.

The same goes for funding NATO or its defense spending.

No. Just brave fighters for their freedom against the collective forces of Russian imperialism and (now, potentially) Usofan thuggery.

No, that's not what you said.

If you're gonna praise murder of politicians, at least have the balls to stand behind your statement.

Yes but because it's a collectivity the operational military outcomes are much much less. It will take years of work to achieve usable outcomes, of which Putin is no doubt well aware.

I'm lovin' that. All those big words and.............. zilch.

I'm :cheesy:

PS. Putin's :heart_001: it.

It's not really the problem. NATO countries' armies have been trained to operate together. They use the same protocols and weapons are interoperable. That's the aim of NATO: to be able to operate under united command.

The real problem is that, as recalled many times, there isn't enough weapon production capacity, and it cannot be fixed on short-term. The other is that without the U.S., there are 'holes' in the system which also cannot be filled on short-term. For example, logistics or electronic intelligence. Not to mention nuclear weapons, which are meant to protect only two countries (despite Macron's speech).

The US is useful to Europe as the biggest armaments maker in the world. It has only seen peace for 20 years since Independence.

Fantastic, let them figure it out for themselves without having to rely on big brother.  Sink or swim, up to you!

There is the proverbial "elephant in the room" which the MAGA Trumpies conveniently overlook because the United States essentially promised Ukraine eternal protection in exchange for giving up the nuclear weapons left over from the collapse of the Soviet Union.

I have posted the link to the promise that Marco Rubio made to Ukraine about protecting them and offering them safety.

Who would have thought that the US would renege on the promise they made to Ukraine. IMO in doing this, they have proven that they are a bunch of scumbags. Furthermore when Zelinsky tried to explain to Vance that it was useless trying to sign agreements with Russia, because previous agreements had not been adhered to and Russia had invaded Ukraine, he was basically "slapped down" by the orange clown and his assistant.

The UK/EU concept of "funding Ukraine" is stealing Russia funds parked in their banks.  That's the solution from the latest rounds of talks. What the UK/EU misses is that no country in their right minds will ever trust the UK/EU to hold their sovereign funds ever again, and it will lead those nations to align with other economic alliances like BRICS.  And as a result, the UK/EU economies suffer.  They self-isolate from the world's financial systems because they can't be trusted.  You can steal $300 billion just one time, then you lose the trust of the entire global economy.  Then it's a matter of time before it's game over.  I mean really.  What are these fools planning?  Conquer Russia and take it's resources?
Sure - third time's a charm 'eh?  Go for it.  "Hey, Millennials and Gen-X.  Wanna die for your elite "leaders!"
No?  But they plan for you to die for their cause and convince you it's "patriotic."  Fools!  It's about the money stupid!  If you're "leaders" aren't armed and at your side in the fight, then it buffalo poop.

If they don't sign agreements with Russia  who are they going to sign with ?

I believe he was angling for some security guarantees from the USA in relation to a ceasefire or an agreement with Russia, however Zelinski was trying to point out to Vance that without these any agreement with Russia would be pointless judging by what Russia did in relation to Crimea, but the clown and his assistant jumped on the bandwagon and basically ambushed the poor guy.

It was a disgusting display by a couple of mindless bullies.

If so he was "negotiating" with the wrong party  and at the wrong moment,

he was there to sign a mineral deal in payback of the billions that USA has sent

to prop his country up in a proxy war   that according to Lindsey Graham was the best money we have ever spent,   the purpose to weaken Russia and provoke regime change  with no US casualties  only Ukrainian and Russian casualties.

(yes quite sickening )

He should have taken the offer from Russia near the start of the conflict  but instead decided to  listen to Boris Johnson and Co and take on the largest country in the world !!!
