Thailand to host ITU Telecom World 2016

BANGKOK, 17 May 2016 (NNT)-Thailand is gearing up to host ‘ITU Telecom World 2016’ at the end of this year with the aim of encouraging small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to use technology.

Deputy Prime Minister, Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong has signed an agreement with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) which will support Thailand in setting up ITU Telecom World 2016.

The event will be held at Impact Muang Thong Thani from November 14th to 17th. The Ministry of Information Communication and Technology and the National Broadcasting Telecommunication Commission are the two main organizers of the event.

ITU Telecom World 2016 will showcase various world class innovations that mainly serve the industrial sector. Experienced investors and seasoned business entrepreneurs will also share their experiences and successes at this event.

The Deputy Prime Minister said it will be an excellent opportunity for SMEs to learn about the possibilities of new technology which can greatly boost their business growth. There will be three different sections within ITU Telecom World 2016, namely an academic conference, an innovation exhibition and an award ceremony for inventors of the most creative and useful technologies.
