EC not worried about voting process in public referendum

BANGKOK, 18 May 2016 (NNT) – The Election Commission is not worried about the public referendum’s voting process.

Election Commissioner Pravich Rattanapian, said today that the Election Commission is not concerned about any aspect of the entire process, in which voters will come out to exercise their rights in a public referendum on the new draft charter, nor even about the campaign to encourage people to come out to cast their votes.

Mr. Pravich added that the training program for provincial volunteers to prepare them to explain details of the draft Constitution to members of the public nationwide, was initiated as an appropriate promotional campaign for the public referendum.

He also stated that the EC does not have a responsibility to disseminate details of the draft charter but is tasked to urge voters to come out on August 7.

He said the EC is expecting a voter turnout of 80%.

Of course they don't worry, there are no independent foreign observers allowed any way.

Why would they as monitoring is banned. It will be as they say it is.

The results are a foregone conclusion and the EC is just going through the motions for their masters

I predict there will not be be a "no" vote, at least not published.

So Suthep and his buddies will sit this one out, as doesn't interfere with democratic process, which is DOA.

The military government has already blackmailed the public with today's announcement that a NO vote will result in no elections next year as promised

Of course they don't worry, there are no independent foreign observers allowed any way.

And the election disruption people were working under the same plan as the EC anyway. So no worries there.

Winnie

Since there is an appropriate promotional campaign for the charter, of course they will not have to worry about the vote. Everything is going peacefully and smoothly.

Into the abyss.

I predict there will be no popcorn man this time
