BANGKOK: -- A commando force joined with local police to arrest a man for a vicious attack on his girlfriend.

Acting on a warrant the "Indie" force nabbed 34 year old Itthipon Moothong (or Nui) in front of the Sahawet Hospital in downtown Phijit on Thursday. The Phijit man was wanted for grievously attacking his girlfriend in Ubon reported Daily News.

She had been hit multiple times with a pestle and had cigarettes stubbed out all over her body. She had also been imprisoned in a house by the man, police said.

Itthipon told police that the couple had had jealous arguments over another man and he had hit her with a pestle after he became angry. He was taken back to Ubon where he faces charges of assault and illegal detention of another person.

Obviously, he didn't put up any resistance when arrested. These abusers are such cowards and have to prove their manhood by beating up anyone who is weaker than them. Unfortunately, if he is sentenced to prison time (very doubtful), he will spend it in a Thai jail where he would probably be treated like some kind of hero for standing up for his manhood. I'd like to see how the little bit_h would hold up in Pelican Bay. He'd be crying for his mommy before the first hour passed.

Seems to be no shortage of these a****les here!

Yes, these are the times I tend to believe that indeed "I no like Thai man ..." and the popularity of 'TOM' bars in areas the women have their own money.

No shortage anywhere in the world, not just Thailand.

Not trying to 'stick up' for Thailand, but for example, everyday in Aus you see this type of thing reported in the press.

What's a pestle?

Ever hear of a "pestle and mortar" used by pharmacists and som-tam cooks? The pestle is the smaller implement. Available in virtually every Thai home. Quite dense and heavy; would leave quite a bruise, and potentially fatal if used about the head.

Thai men - beating up girls; 10 on to one v farang; killing cripples; killing each other on the roads; drunk; idle; parasitic; of course I am generalising but .....

It's not only Thailand that domestic violence is a problem. Australia's going through one of its worst periods of this serious problem. Could happen anywhere
