The stuttering parrot
17 children dead and people trying to do something good to help in what must be an absolutely devasting time for the families and yet the negativity continues. No wonder the Chiang rai forum is on life support after the comments made here and the mushroom thread. Hats off to the hangover bar and all involved. Safe ride and raise a fortune? Will27
A fine cause indeed. Kudos to Chiang Rai Ties, GT-Rider and RideAsia.
The stuttering parrot
Yes Will27 It's great to see expat community getting together for a good cause. I'm sure any questions about disbursement so far monies will be answered by the relevant parties and done transparently without slurs and innuendo . I believe also there is someone collecting clothing etc somewhere near the white temple for the kids but I've somehow lost the info. You make a good point about forums being bi partisan when a tragedy such as this arises . Cheers

Steve will return on Friday to Wiang PaPao, the families will be present then, and hand the money directly to them. http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-forum/showthread.php?t=8162&p=59476#post59476
The stuttering parrot
Thank you Jethro69 for the update. The pictures you have put up are both truly tragic and uplifting at the same. To see expat community come together at such short notice and raise 150,000 baht is a fantastic effort. Thank you for and detailed report and hats off to everyone involved including the organisers the riders and the forums who have banded together for such a worthy cause????
