Hello,

Pls excuse if this has been covered recently here. I could not find recent post.

I will be going to Chaeng Wattana next week. Would someone with recent experience extending such stay pls advise if all I need to bring are:

-- bank certificate of 800,000 deposited at least 3 months. Mine's Bangkok Bank -- there's branch at CW and I go get that right before I get get queue ticket, correct? What time they open? Or to save time, is it better to get at a branch near my home the day before? Do I need to show bank anything other than my bank book and passport?

-- copy of bank book with name, acct number page. Are balance and three months of transactions pages needed?

-- TM7

-- passport, with copies of ID page, last entry stamp, original O-A visa, arrival card.

Are there any other requirements?

I'll also be getting multiple re-entry, so I will need TM-8 and copies of the same passport pages as above. correct? Do I get a queue ticket for multiple re-entry only after I get my passport with extension back?

Thank you

How recent do you need? The Search Function shows these, the second topic was started in March.

Also, is this your first year on an "O-A" entry, or coming to the end of a second year. Or in fact, are you really only asking about an "O" entry extension?

I saw those earlier posts, but I could not find what I needed, a recent complete list of required documents for CW.

I got my O-A on Nov. 12, 2014, with "enter before" date of Nov 11, 2015. I re-entered July 3, 2015, admitted until July 2, 2016. This will be my first time extending at CW.

Thanks

A quite recent report with the necessary information for a one year extension based on retirement.

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/905337-retirement-extension-at-cw-yesterday/

Just that you have the bank balance instead of income affidavit.

(your Non O-A is history now/used up and does not make a difference regarding the extension)

Don't forget the photos (4*6 cm) for TM7 and TM8.

I'd try locating a site that specializes in providing information about visas in Thailand or if that is not possible try visiting immigration and ask them (since you can apply 30 to 45 days before the extension is necessary.

The site is called Thaivisa.com forum tongue.png

And soon the guru(s) will help with another complete list.

I am just too lazy.

Thanks for the clarification, I just wanted to make sure you were using the "O-A" to full advantage.

Extension of Stay Paperwork

1. Completed Form TM 7

2. Passport + Copy of Homepage showing given names / Passport number / Hologram or Photo, plus;

- Current Visa or

- Current Extension and

- Last Entry Stamp

3. Proof of Address

- Copy of House owners Tabian Ban (Wife/Landlord) and

- Copy of House owners ID card. (Wife/Landlord) and

- Rental Agreement + Copy (If rented) or

- Tabian Ban (If you possess one)

4. Map pinpointing and detailing Address

5. Proof of sufficient funds.

- Updated Passbook + Copy and

- Letter from the Thai Bank confirming funds. (Must match funds in Passbook) Note: they have always accepted mine from the day before.

6. Letter from your Embassy confirming Income. (If using the monthly income method)

7. Passport photo (attached to TM 7 Form)

9. Copy of both front and back of your TM 6 Departure Card.

All the copies you submit for your extension need to be signed by you. Items 3 and 4 may not be asked for but I would take them just in case. Also before you get your re-entry you will have to re-queue, but first you will need to go downstairs and get a copy of your new admitted to stay until date page in your passport.

Just to add: Your photocopied pages for the re-entry permit will need to include a copy of the page with the newly granted extension so you'll have to dash downstairs to get it. Get your re-entry queue number before you go downstairs to save time. In my recent experience, the re-entry permit processing has been screwed up by a broken number-paging machine and the glacial speed of processing your application once it is handed in. Valuable little pieces of paper between the pages of your passport don't seem to trigger any faster processing so be prepared for the re-entry permit to take up to two hours. Another poster recently suggested the strategy of going in for your extension just after lunch at 1:00 since there are dropouts who don't show up then. Another option is to buy your re-entry permit at an airport before your flight out instead of getting it at CW. Good luck.

This will be my first time extension. Can someone with that recent experience confirm that proof of residence required, and in what specific form? Utility bill is not in my name but the landlord's. Rental contract is from 2 years back. I can't contact landlord for tabian ban or her ID copy.

I have never been asked for no. (3) proof of address at Chaeng Wattana but I have always taken my rental contract and a couple of utility bills just in case. I always go prepared so that I do not have to make a second trip if asked for something I don't have. My last extension was last October.

The map will not be needed. There are only a couple offices that want that for an extension based upon retirement and CW is not one of them.

The bank branches at CW open at 8:30. Since you will need a copy of your bank book updated on the date you apply it is best to get the letter done at CW the morning you apply. You will need a copy of the first page and the pages showing the balance of at least 800k baht for the past 60 days since it is your first application.

Proof ot residence is normally a rental agreement with a signed copies of the owners house book and ID card attached.

Hello

We got a OA visa in France end of 2014, went out to Cambodia end of september 2015, so we have to ask for extension before september 2016 end at Jomtien immigration..

2 questions please

. If we do the extension before end of september, what will be the date of end of the extension, end of september according to previous extension, or one year after the day we obtain extension ?

. The condo we live in is in our son's name.. We have a lease agreement signed by him and his passport copy but he doesn't have a tabian book and the lease is not registered in immigration, as he lives abroad

Do you think we should go to immigration and declare the lease agreement for him ??

To certify the address, I can have a certificate from juristic manager of the condo.. and some bills are in my friend's name (we are not married but live together for years). Will that be OK ?

Thanks in advance

Have a nice week

The extension will be from the current permit to stay you have not the date you apply.

They will likely want a copy of the chanote for the condo to prove you son owns the condo attached to the rental agreement.

There have been reports of Jomtien not accepting rental agreements for condos owned by a foreigner without showing their work permit. It might be best in your case if your son did a statement that you are living in his condo instead of rental agreement that shows you are paying xxx amount in rent to him.

There no registration of the rental agreement done at immigration. They may want a TM30 form to report you are staying in the condo. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm30.pdf

If the rental agreement states that you pay nothing then that will be accepted.
