Get the full range round here. A lot of oriental rat snakes, and green/golden tree snakes, anotherd I can't name that is really, really thin like a pencil that eats bettles and such. Fortunately, I have no phobia. But it's the banded kraits, ngoo sai mun (no idea what it is in English/Latin but they're deadly at birth) that really get the freckle puckering. Oh! about four years ago two of The Boys had a two-and-a-half foot monocled cobra bailed up out in front of the house, with the then pup of around six months giving it The Good News at 100dB. I heaved a lump of wood at the cobra and it just took its time moving away with more of the dogs coming in to "help". Not much you can do trying to call untrained farm dogs away from a threat but the snake (fortunately for it and probably one or two of the dogs) managed to evade them. Haven't seen one since, nor ever seen any viper or king cobra. Spiders and scorpions, though? Terrified.
