Probably didn't know him/herself he/she had the money. Demented. Very possible.

As for westerners not helping others in the west. Yet another stupid comment on TVF.

In a radius of 1km where i live back home there are a dosen charity places (latitudinarian, christian, muslim and jewish) who give free food, free clothing, etc.

These places are not government sponsored but 100% goodwill of more fortunate people.

Yes I live in Perth where we have some thing called Telethon the latest one

collected 22 Million dollars in just one year, for sick kids and handicapped people

ever heard of some thing like that in Thailand ?

There have been numerous articles and features in the press over the years regarding the lucrative begging profession in the Kingdom.

Do you think 1.5 million baht is a lot for a life's work. Lucrative, my arse.

Are you an English teacher?

A 70 year old in Thailand with 1,5mil is pretty rich yes if you take into account that many people live from/on 9-10.000thb/month.

1,5 mil = 12,5 years of salary... Not bad!

I live in Bangkok and most cars I see on the road are worth more equal or more than 1.5 mill.

Even here, I ask is it a man or woman?goof.gif or was, RIP... and y'all make me so darn confused on this thread my head's a spinning facepalm.gif .. ya hear?

Confused ? ----------if so best consult a doctor or re-read the OP.

"After authorities took her body away and tried to contact relatives, they discovered that the woman"

ya hear ?

Lighten up. It's all tongue in cheek. Besides, if you read the original news report, it says several times that it was a man!
