KRABI: -- Two people were killed and another two were seriously injured in a mid-morning car crash in Krabi.

“Reports of the accident came in at about 10.30am. It took place near the Nua Khlong junction,” said Lt Col Suthorn Kampaphan of Nua Khlong Police. “A white SUV was wedged into a brown pick-up truck, with two people trapped inside each vehicle.”

Rescuers needed to use 'jaws of life' cutters to help extract the victims from the twisted metal remains of the two Isuzu vehicles.

R.I.P.

thoughts go to the family who lost loved ones

I would say the other vehicle was a PPV not an SUV.

If the pick up driver had lived his excuse would have been

The rain caused the accident Not my lack of driving skills and intelligence

...or perhaps he "was angry" - reason good enough to let a guilty Thai person walk free in Thailand... This killer phrase, "I was angry" is as essential in any legal/police matters here as the obligatory finger pointing. If that doesn't work, of course there will be a thousand other excuses for why he lost control (in traffic, in a situation, in life) and killed innocent people in the process... sad.png

RIP to the innocent dead and condolences to family and friends, thorough and quick recovery to the injured.

When will rain stop killing people? It only makes peopled drive dangerously.

There are eye witnesses to that.

The witnesses claimed that heavy rain and slippery road conditions were the cause of the crash.

"The witnesses claimed that heavy rain and slippery road conditions were the cause of the crash."

Will they never learn?

Heavy rain and slippery road conditions only contributed to the accident. A driver or drivers CAUSED the accident through lack of driving skills or common sense! coffee1.gif

RIP and condolences to families and friends and a speedy recovery to those injured.

That damned rain causes more problems than enough. It should know there are only two speeds in Thailand and these are dead stop and as fast as the vehicle will go (sounds like Saudi they have the same speed limits). Some thing should be done to stop rain altogether, it is bad news.

It was an accident and people died. RIP

Yup and let no one learn from it? whistling.gif

I can only wonder if you you would have that same "fatalistic" attitude if one of those dead or seriously injured were a member of your family.

Fully agree, maybe we should send the rain to an attitude adjustment?
