I am a firm believer in having my "official" bank account located as possible to my Immigration office. Then, if Immigration were ever to give me a hard time about my bank letter on renewal day, it should be easy to get things sorted out.

This morning I walked in to the Bangkok Bank Office 500 metres from Immigration. They seemed delighted to see me, and even offered me a cup of coffee ! In 20 years in Thailand, that is the first time that has ever happened ! They opened two accounts for me.

If anyone needs or wants another account for Surin Immigration, get in there quickly, before something changes.
