heybruce Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 This will probably appear in the Chiang Mai news section soon. I thought it worthwhile to give the subject some early visibility. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/922560-hemorragic-fever-cases-hit-new-highs-in-chiang-mai-and-buriram-public-warned-after-three-deaths/ No need for panic, but be careful about the mosquitoes.
haybilly Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Dengue, I presume---bit of a fancy title, but Dengue it is, and the ones that bite you are around in the daytime, not just at the usual biting times, be warned...and careful--empty and remove any receptacles of rain water around your properties.
jobin Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Don't forget: only the repellent DEET actually repels mosquitoes. All the 'natural or organic' products are nice for you but do not deter mosquitoes. Check the label. DEET is found in many products usually around 12-20%. Get the strongest available. Also, small DEET wipes now on the market.
