BANGKOK: -- A seven year old who fell from a fourth floor balcony was saved after he hit a satellite dish.

The child - who has a foreign parent - was momentarily home alone Sunday as the nanny looking after him had gone downstairs to throw out some rubbish reported Daily News.

CCTV footage caught the child falling from the balcony but his fall was broken by the second floor dish before he ended up on the ground behind building 33 at the Ua Athorn housing estate, Project 1, in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi.

The boy was found screaming out in a state of shock with blood coming from his nose and mouth. He was taken to Bang Bua Thong hospital then transferred to Phra Nang Klao hospital for detailed tests.

Police are waiting to interview the nanny who is currently at the boy's bedside. Both parents, one of whom is not Thai, had left the boy in her care while they went abroad. They think that he woke up and went to the balcony and fell while the nanny was downstairs dumping rubbish.

Saw a 2 year old fall out of the 7th floor in bang na once, mum left the window open and no screens, bed pushed up against the window. Pedigree dog went the same way a few weeks before, no common sense a lot of people here.

"Thank goodness for "cable TV" then they tell us he was saved by a "satellite TV dish"? I hope the kid recovers soon.

Lucky lad, may he make a speedy recovery.

Get well young fella , perhaps when you get older you might try a career in TV , TV dish bring U good luck , and I am glad it did.................thumbsup.gif .

Thai tv has to be useful for something

Translation: of what baby sitter said She was doing short time in next room her moaning covered sounds of child getting up falling out window hitting the dish which ruin tv reception of porn video that her and short time was watching. Her first story was rubbish. Get well soon young man you will get real nanny next time.

Whereas a good healthy tree would have prevented him from hitting the satellite dish.

he will be out the window again next week.

I will say RIP now.

On reading the headline I had thought that his fall was broken by the mass of wires around every building.

Perhaps you should change your venues for meeting Thai women.

Video clip of the incident. The child was reported to be half Thai, half Filipino, with the parents being abroad and having left the child with a nanny.
