Hello!

I have eaten this food around Thailand a lot. It's vegetarian and is served with some yummy sweet soy sauce thing. I don't know what it's called and would love it if someone could tell me. Also, I'd like to find a recipe so that I can attempt to make it back home.

Please help friends as I have a craving for these yummy things.

Funnily enough, I had some for lunch. They're fried chive cakes - a mixture of various flours and Chinese chives, steamed then pan fried.

Yes, I love em too........In Nakhon Phanom night market my favourite is the one like dumplings on the left with small dried shrimps inside. The flat square ones on the right r good too. For some reason these remind me a bit of 'bubble & squeak'.....Older Brits will know what that delicacy is.....lol. My missus says the green inside is 'garlic leaf' but she gets most things wrong...lol...and they dont taste of garlic. So chives is probably right. I try to limit my intake as they are quite oily....in NKP anyway; but very stodgy and filling if u r really hungry. Trouble is they r so expensive......5thb each.....lol.
