Non-B, single-entry visa - best regional consulate or embassy.

Featured Replies

We may need to bring a consultant in for about 6 weeks work offshore Gulf of Thailand. The client is willing and able to provide all the company documentation required to support this visa and the WP. What would be the best (most hassle free) regional Thai consulate or embassy where the consultant can make a single-entry, Non-B visa application?

Thanks,

NL

Vientiane, Savannakhet and Penang are all about the same. All will require a work permit application approval letter to get the non-b visa along with all the other normal documents required.

Thanks joe. The last time we did this exercise for a couple of guys was maybe 5 years ago and the WP receipt was neither provided by the client or requested by the RTHonC in Hull or the RT Embassy in Manilla. The MFA list of company info and the cover letter was enough to get the visa and the WP business was started after entering the country on the new Business visa.

I guess things have changed a bit. Is the WP receipt a requirement if the applicant is applying in his home country, say an EU country, Australia or the US?

Thanks.

It will depend upon the embassy or consulate where the application is done.

There have been reports that Hong Kong accept an application without the work permit application being done.
