I'm awaiting a DHL item that Thai Post is currently in possession of. They were supposed to deliver it today but decided to hold onto it without any formal notification.

I've been watching it via tracking and it appears to be at Phra Sing.

1) Is this PO on the Samlan Road?

2) Can I just rock up with some ID and collect the parcel?

likely, just go to the second floor, look left. SHe will give you a slip and you go across the hall, pay customs, return with receipt, and it's yours. I did it on a Saturday, and I don't think I would have gotten the slip until at least Monday. But the Tracking number is a must. I didn't know DHL worked with Thai Post, but UPS works with USPS in the States. But if your tracking says Phra Sing PO, then go upstairs. Everything from DHL gets scrutinized. I'm just surprised you don't have to go sort it at the airport. If it is stuck at the PO, it is very likely you can get it; for a price. No idea what's in it, so obviously, that will affect the outcome.

Much appreciated.

I feared the tracking number wouldn't be enough but I'll give it a whirl.

The parcel sat in BKK customs for 2-3 days before making it's way to Lamphun and then CM. I'm expecting to have to pay 17% on CIF which is reasonable (well...).

They kind of just stick some number on it, which you can appeal, but like a life sentence in Indonesia, the appeal could be worse...I've seen a lot of talk on E-cigs getting confiscated, and Supplements, too.

One more tip, would be to print out the tracking info., so they won't have to look it up.
